![You can't not recommend going to see the pyramids, they're one of the most monumental places I've ever been to. You never truly appreciate the scale of them until you're stood at their feet. You can almost get an impression of their size in this picture. 

I also definitely recommend getting the best view of them by taking a camel ride, there's no experience quite like it.
