I arrived at 4pm to find an untidy looking residential property with no outer signage indicating it was a “hotel”. I pushed the door open and walked thru to the lounge and spoke to an Asian lady who told me in very poor English that my booking had been canceled as I had not “called to confirm”, despite this not being a requirement of booking. She said a refund would have been issued but on checking my account no refund had been received. I had to contact Wotif to begin the refund process, which is still underway. Avoid this place like the plague!
We called a week in advance to make sure we would be able to check in late at night, and were told we'd "receive the necessary information closer to the day". We didn't receive any information. On the day, we messaged because we couldn't call, and there was no reply. When we got to the property, there was nothing that could tell us how to check in or where our room was, so we called, and only then, we got instructions via text. We realised that "Free Parking" meant some space in the driveway, that when we arrived, was already full, but we got lucky with street parking. Once in the room, we realised that "shared bathroom" meant a toilet in a granny flat outside the room, that the toilet paper "couldn't be flushed" as per a sign in the restroom and instead it had to go in a bin, and that there were cockroaches all around. After the cockroaches, we just couldn't stay, so we left 15 minutes after arriving to this property. Pretty upsetting we paid for this.
