Great location. Easy walk to the beach, coastal walk, or catch the local buses. Room was spotless. Housekeeping did great job sprucing up room each morning. Enjoyed having the balcony to relax on at night. Air conditioning in room was a bit temperamental. I would set the temperature to the lowest setting to cool the room down, and sometimes the room temperature would actually get hotter. It worked fine most of the time except my last night. No elevator in the Bay side was a challenge for carrying luggage (thankfully reception helped during check in), was a nuisance upon checking out - was given fair warning, but can imagine this being an issue for limited mobility guests. The hotel is great, room lovely, staff really pleasant and friendly. It is just the noise. I knew the hotel already but had not stayed there before. We stayed on a Friday and Saturday night in the hotel, not the boutique part, so this probably made it worse. Our room overlooked the garden bar. I knew there would be some noise but did not anticipate how noisy and how late the noise would go on for.
