Go hiking in the State Park or hang out on the sandy beach just a mile down the road. Take in the breathtaking sunsets of Deep Creek or lay out in the yard, on the deck, or on the dock and star gaze! On colder nights sit around the stone fireplace in the main living room while watching movies and reminiscing about the days adventures and planning for all the ones you'll have tomorrow! Plenty of bedrooms and space in the bedrooms for everyone. The living area was tight for all of us with the main kitchen table only able to seat 7 people and was in tight quarters. Generally, the house was clean but definite cosmetic issues can be seen throughout (scratches to drywall, deck needs to be cleaned, 2 outdoor chairs broken). The location is close to many activities including the State Park beach, the Nature Center, and easily-accessible hiking trails. The house had a wonderful and spacious deck, with great views from the large windows throughout the house. The hot tub was clean, well-maintained, and in a wonderful and relaxing setting. The kitchen was well-equipped with dishes, pots, pans, and utensils; everything we needed to make some great meals. We did find the outdoor grill too small for the size of the house. It made it difficult to efficiently cook for our family of eleven. We found swimming in the lake to be a bit of a challenge due to the heavy boat traffic. The cove was full of partying boaters, so if you like quiet this may not be the place for you in July. However, our family enjoyed our time at Cherry Creek Retreat and made some very special memories there. ##### Kathy S. Our group of 8 college roommates stayed here for our annual Deep Creek trip. The house is great. We loved sitting on the dock enjoying the beautiful view of the lake.
