While the walk down to the docks contained a lot of stairs, the lakefront location was perfect for our family’s needs. Kids enjoyed swimming off the dock and the hot tub. Adults enjoyed the separate sitting rooms and plentiful spaces for relaxation. Secondary rooms were small and became hot with doors closed but they did the trick. The house was as it looked on the pictures, except that two of the 4 bedrooms do not have windows, which I don't think comply with fire safety laws. We asked the kids to keep their door open at night since it was their only escape way in case of fire. The kitchen had plenty of dishes and utensils. The house was a bit dated but homey. It looked clean at first glance, but there was lots of dust under the furniture and sofas (as often seen in vacation rentals). We liked the hot-tub (clean) and the immediate access to the lake. All of the bedrooms made sleeping arrangements for all 7 of us easy. We loved how big the kitchen was. Never felt like we were stepping on each others toes. The outside space was awesome. with the hot tub, deck, fir pit area and large dock. Only downside outdoors was there is a row of bushes blocking the view from the deck to the lake. Not sure if that is on purpose but its blocking an amazing view. I would not recommend for any one with any mobility issues. Once on-site, I was able to see that this house needs attention - especially the first floor. The electrical outlet in the kitchen was hanging out of the wall. Jan 25, 2024 Liked: Check-in, communication, location #### Beautiful views, responsive host but in need of renovations There are many positives about the property: the location is beautiful and views gorgeous from the house, the host is very responsive and the second level of the property is nice. The house is really a tale of two homes--the main floor and entrance (bedrooms, bathrooms, and rec room) are nice and in good shape. The main bedroom bed was very comfortable but the lower level/living area with kitchen, dining area and living area needs alot of TLC. A deep clean at a minimum is needed. The kitchen is old and the cabinets inside and out are stained from years of use. There is nothing extra in the property so you literally have to bring every single thing you need. Potential renters should also be aware that the house is located at the bottom of steep declining driveway. In the winter, this is a huge concern. Even with my 4 wheel drive vehicle it was very difficult and dangerous to come and go. Our car slid back multiple times trying to drive up with the snow and ice. Most of the other properties nearby have created parking pads at the top of the hill/entrance to their properties to address this issue. The property has a lot of potential but needs some investment and a few additional touches to make this a great rental. ##### Catherine R.
