The room was clean, but the paint on the walls was dingy with stains, and in need of a fresh coat. The furniture is all very old and dated, but perfectly functional. The beds were comfortable enough, but the pillows need an update. There was a refrigerator, microwave, coffee machine, hair dryer, iron, and ironing board which was helpful. The bathroom was clean and came with soap, shampoo, and conditioner, but it was a small stand-up shower, not a bathtub, so it was a little cramped, but the water was hot and it did the job just fine. If I owned the property I would do the following: 1\. Update the paint ($50 paint and rollers) 2\. Get matching pillows that give a bit better support and cushion. ($9/pillow on Amazon $36/room) 3\. Update the lighting and the night stands(from the 80s) (Nightstand with charging station $70). 4\. If not able to get upgraded/updated mattresses, then get some 2 inch memory foam mattress pads. The beds would be amazing.($30-$35/bed, $60-$70/room) So, for $225 per room, it would be a much nicer place to stay. Owners...pony up the cash. It's worth it! All in all...a little pricey for what you get, but cheaper than other places in the area. DO NOT STAY HERE! Was very disappointed upon arriving to my contactless check in at M22 inn. Firstly I thought the check in was odd that our room was unlocked and our key was placed inside, meaning anyone could just get in the room. Second we were met with a musty smell throughout the room. The room had obviously not been touched for who knows how long as there were cobwebs in the corners, spiders, moths, and other crawling insects. The shower looked crummy and unclean. And everything looked like it hadn’t been updated since it was built in the 50s. We weren’t expecting much but a clean space and a rustic vibe but it turned out to be much worse. Upon contacting the Expedia team, they weren’t able to get in touch with the M22 staff until they conveniently waited till after check out to deny our refund. The M22 staff doesn’t care about anything but a paycheck. How can you share the name of such an iconic, beautiful route and be so ghetto and disappointing? I blame both the Expedia team and M22 for this experience. Our room was spacious with a beautiful view of the water. The only issue with the room that I didn’t consider was the noise from the traffic . Otherwise everything was very clean and we had everything we needed. We were very happy with our stay and the employee that helped us accommodated us with an upgrade . The location was awesome but the owners should do some work to clean up the outside areas to make it more inviting. Upon arrival they swicthed us to #13 W/O a kitchen. When we complained they said they couldn't do anything about it because they were full. Average quality Their checkin process basically just sent you a text and told you what room to go to. They sent us to an occupied room which was awkward to say the least. Nobody at the office it's all done by text with zero service. Room was ok clean but small bathrooms, no cups for coffee maker and no ability to get that or ice or absolutely anything. This place should be leveled and a nice new quality hotel built.
