Small but comfortable rooms with fridge, aircon, ceiling fan, hot water. Better quality towels than expected. Bed a little softer than the usual. Friendly check in. Great location on the other side of the tracks from the Surat Thani train station in Phun Phin. Stairs required for some rooms and to cross the pedestrian bridge from the train station. Just down the street from a fairly good night market, with at least one low-key nightlife spot nearby along the riverfront, and several close by choices for coffee and breakfast in the morning. Good value and convenient for catching a train. Had a sign mentioning showers available for 50 baht per person too if not getting a room. Seems related to the nearby Nadpob Station on the other side of the train station area. Ausstattung wie angegeben aber auch nur im nötigsten Ausmaß. Toilette stand komplett unter Wasser als wir ankamen (keine eigene Duschkabine nur ein duschhahn neben dem Klo. An sich nichts außergewöhnliches hier aber ist natürlich nicht schön wenn man auf Toilette geht und in dem Abwasser von jemand anderem steht). Personal sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Kommunikation eher schwierig. (Wir können nur englisch und kein thailändisch). Wir hatten über Expedia schon bezahlt, was dem Hotel nicht weitergeleitet wurde. Das zu klären hat etwas gedauert und war sehr schade um unsere Zeit. Wobei man dort auch nicht wirklich viel machen kann. War für uns nur eine Unterkunft für eine Nacht, aber für die Umgebung hat der eine Tag auch definitiv gereicht. Fazit: für das Geld (und weniger) haben wir wo anders sehr viel mehr bekommen. War durch unsere Spontanität aber auch das einzige Hotel in der Nähe des Bahnhofes. And this place is only about 5mins walk from the station. The double room is on the small size but spotlessly clean. Both the AC, fan and hot water heater were in working order. Plenty of places for food around the hotel. I stored the heavy bag at the railway station because I did not fancy the short walk under the sun around noon time. Close to Surat Thani and night market. 140 baht taxi to city centre. 250 baht to airport. Not much around. Booked it due to close location to train. Prepared our selves for the worst given other reviews. We actually had the best nights sleep we have had in a while. It was quite for Asia. The air-conditioning worked well. Bed was too hard but ok, and again this is normal for Asia. Lady was a bit cold on receiption but ok. Fica perto estação de Trem, só que do outro lado, assim tem que subir e descer escadas para chegar ou fazer um retorno de 1km exatamente. Pena cobrarem tão mais caro por camas de solteiro.
