You'll find many of the town's key landmarks here, such as the Church of St. George and the Venetian Loggia. It's a compact and walkable area, making it easy to explore on foot.Couples looking for a romantic and convenient base will find staying in the old town ideal. You'll be steps away from charming restaurants offering local Istrian cuisine and small shops selling artisan products. The evenings are pleasant for strolls, enjoying the historic architecture lit up, and perhaps a glass of local wine at a pavement cafe. For families, staying slightly outside the immediate old town, but still within a short walk, offers a good balance. These areas often provide properties with a bit more space, perhaps a garden or a pool, which can be a real bonus for children.

The best time to visit Sumber is during the late spring (May to early June) or early autumn (September to early October) to enjoy pleasant weather and fewer crowds.During these shoulder seasons, the temperatures are comfortably warm, typically ranging from 20°C to 25°C, making it ideal for exploring the Istrian countryside, cycling, or enjoying coastal activities without the intense heat of mid-summer. You'll also find that popular attractions and restaurants are less busy, allowing for a more relaxed experience. For those seeking the warmest sea temperatures for swimming and sunbathing, July and August are the peak summer months. Expect average temperatures to be around 28°C to 30°C, and the Adriatic Sea to be at its most inviting. However, this is also the busiest time, with more visitors and higher prices for accommodation and flights.
