I would give them a higher rating if the actual place was depicted online, with the address listed correctly. It is not located in Blaine. It is in Birch Bay. There is no large sign stating Sand Castle out front. This is a condo building which I drove passed, circled around trying to find a hotel in Blaine, which of course doesn't exist. When I pulled into the parking lot of the condo, where the front door does not face the street, there was a small plaque with the name. I still wasn't sure I had the right place, so went in and asked the front desk clerk if there was a reservation in my name and when she said yes, I briefly expressed my relief and frustration with the location information provided but she just looked at me blankly. No acknowledgement, and she seemingly didn't care. The unit was clean but needs some updating and TLC.

Spotless

Room was great. The pool was so cold it would have been warmer to swim in the mountain streams after the snow melt! My shoes were squeaking after I left the breakfast area so floor should probably be cleaned more often in that area. Restaurant attached was very good and enjoyable.
