We absolutely loved the spotlessly clean cabin. Very comfortable and sooo cozy with a fire in the fireplace. The Cihlars had everything we needed for the fire, for cooking, for bathing, for coffee in the morning after a good night's sleep. We hope to come back and enjoy it again. Next time we want to spend more quiet time at the cabin and do less sightseeing. We had a great time. Thank you Russ and Stacey!

Russ was very welcoming! The cabin was spotless and super clean when we arrived. It’s such a special little cabin with a lot of cozy touches that add to the overall experience. We looked forward to seeing Dixie run over and greet us anytime we were coming or going from the property. We would definitely recommend this property and look forward to coming back soon! Thank you!

This is an authentic restored log cabin, but it has been remodeled inside with modern conveniences. Everything about our stay was perfect. It was very clean. The kitchen and baths were equipped with everything we needed. The 2 window air conditioners kept it comfortable even in a July 95 degree heat wave. Russ has a fascinating story about the history and restoration of the cabin.

We liked everything about our stay! The cabin is beautiful. Russ and Stacy are great hosts and truly amazing people. It was an extra treat to get to know them during our stay. We would stay there again during our next visit to Door County. The stairs are steep to the second floor sleeping area, but there is half bath on the second floor. We didn’t have problems with the stairs, but just be aware. It is after all, a beautifully restored 1882 cabin. The cabin restoration is a piece of art which made our stay even more special.

The cabin was exceptionally clean. Our host was so kind and welcoming. We were greeted with a bottle of wine and fresh picked strawberries. The kitchen was equipped with everything you would need and more. Our fire place was clean although we did not use it everything was provided. If you are looking for an authentic cabin feel this is the place for you.

There are so many things I could rave about because this was the perfect base for our exploration of Door County. The cabin is conveniently located to locations out-of-towners would want to visit while allowing a private feel out of the fray of some of the in-town accommodations. The cabin is gorgeously restored, thoughtfully furnished, and sparkling clean. The bed was very comfortable, and there was an abundance of towels, wash cloths, and hot water. Those may seem like odd things to include in a review, but they are very much things you notice if they are not present in a rental. Their presence shows how much attention to detail is paid to making the homestead welcoming to visitors, and we'd recommend it to anyone!

Great stay near town

The cabin was clean, comfortable and well stocked. In an excellent location with excellent hosts. Perfect for a relaxing weekend but I could see myself staying a longer as well.
