There is also downhill skiing at Muskoka Ski Club in Huntsville. For the snowmobilers just jump on the lake to the OFSC trail system. Roads were very well maintained coming in, host was communicating with us and did an excellent job preparing us, everything was very clean and the location allowed for access to cheap boat rentals, great access to the beach, we saw amazing wildlife and had access to the most beautiful lodge across the street when we didn’t want to cook ourselves. It was very clean, organized, and spacious, with a large backyard. The host, Steve, prepared everything one would need around the house. There was a very nice hot tub and area to eat outdoors on the deck. The beach was only a very short walk away, which was closer than expected. The location is very convenient, literally less than 2 minutes from a nice sandy beach. Perfect for kids and toddler… shallow for more than 50m in. The house is not far from local parks with excellent trails no more than 30 minutes away. It is also 30 minutes from Huntsville with good dining and shopping options. Steven is a great host, very responsive and did everything he could to make our stay the best as possible. The house is very comfortable and cozy. My wife and I, our 8 month old son, and my parents stayed at this property for 4 nights. The cottage is in a great location, close to town and area attractions. It is only a few second walk to the Sandy beach of Lake Bernard. The cottage had everything we needed and more with an amazing hot tub as well as fire pit and bbq. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed for cooking and the bedrooms and living area were clean and a nice size. Best of all was the communication from the owner, who was usually only a few minutes to respond and was always looking to make our stay better. Would recommend this cottage to anyone! We also were fortunate to see deer and wild turkeys visit the property during our stay.
