May 30, 2022 Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, communication, location, listing accuracy #### Not so Hidden Gem We've driven this road many a time and never knew this incredible B&B was there. From the greeting we received on arrival and the introduction to the cottage, it was warm and friendly. The cottage itself was immaculate, a snapshot in time. Just the right features to make the stay comfortable and not spoil the period appearance. We only had a two day break but left feeling refreshed, and the breakfast was awesome. ##### Lincoln B. Dec 22, 2021 Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, communication, listing accuracy Disliked: Location #### Comfortable Cottage We stayed in the Managers Cottage for three nights, cottage is really nice with heritage styling. We would have stayed in the bedroom with the four poster bed but the bed was so noisy As soon as you sat on it it was really creaky, we decided to use the other bed to save being woken all night every time we moved. The cottage is located on a main road with semi trailers and all manner of other traffic going past all the time so it is extremely noisy. The gardens however are lovely, just a pity that the serenity is broken by trucks passing by every minute. We did enjoy our stay and luckily the trucks did stop after around midnight so we did get some sleep. The cottage is pet friendly which is great and our dog really enjoyed the area with the lovely garden and the close proximity to the river walking area. You can easily walk to the town centre along the river park area. Overall it is a very nice cottage and garden setting but the noise of the road limits any peace and quiet you might be looking for on a weekend away. ##### Sylvia C. Property keeps its cool warmth as walls are so thick. The Breakfast provided was excellent, not continental like most provide. Being in the heart of Strathalbyn means most facilities are just a quick walk away. ##### Ben P. Stayed 2 nights in Oct 2022 ### 10/10 Excellent #### Jade F.
