My husband and I had a good stay here. We needed an affordable place with a kitchen, and Lake View Suites was exactly what we were looking for. We enjoyed sitting out on the porch watching the lake after a long day of hiking. The building is an older structure, but the owners have clearly worked to update it with new decor, bathroom fixtures, and lighting. The beds were comfortable and the linens and towels were clean. I was impressed by the attention to little touches which made the place cozy, such as the lovely hanging flowers that attracted a hummingbird every evening and the very nice breakfast they provide. Sadly, their attention to detail is a bit spotty. Chipped paint, dusty surfaces and streaked windows all give the impression of neglect rather than care. A bit more attention to maintenance and cleanliness would go a long way towards making this the cozy and inviting space that the owners clearly want it to be.
