The home features three bedrooms and two full bathrooms, making it a great fit for families, football weekends, alumni gatherings, visiting professionals, or anyone looking for a unique place to stay near Penn State.

A small piece of Penn State history sits right at the front door. Local lore says The Fairy Tale House was once connected to Charles Z. Klauder, the architect behind Penn State's current Old Main, completed in 1930. When the marble steps for Old Main were ordered, the story goes that one extra step arrived. Rather than let it go unused, the architect placed it at the entrance of this storybook stone cottage. So when you step onto the front porch, you may be standing on the last step of Old Main itself.

For guest safety and property security, exterior security cameras are located around the perimeter of the home, including each corner and the entry doors. There are no cameras inside the home.

Pets must be included on the reservation. The pet fee is $25 per pet, per night. If you did not select the pets option when booking, please let us know before arrival so we can arrange the applicable fee. Any pet fees not already included in your reservation will be charged separately through Vrbo. Exterior security cameras may notify us of pets on the property.

Absolutely no smoking is permitted anywhere on the property. This includes all indoor areas, outdoor areas, porches, patios, decks, driveways, yards, and parking areas. This policy applies to cigarettes, cigars, pipes, vaping devices, marijuana, and any other smoking products. If you smoke, please do not book this property. Any evidence of smoking, including but not limited to smoke odors, cigarette butts, ashes, vaping residue, or other smoking-related debris, will result in a minimum $500 additional cleaning and deodorization fee. Additional charges may apply if professional remediation is required.

Fire safety: Use of the outdoor fire pit is strictly prohibited at this time due to fire risk. The indoor fireplaces are capped and cannot vent smoke outside. Do not light fires or burn anything in them.
