We are 4 retired friends who get together every year from different states. We had an amazing time in St Augustine and the castle was large, comfortable and very clean. It had everything we needed to make our annual get together so much fun and very memorable.
House was beautiful and spacious! We were 3 families staying together, and we each had our own rooms and bathrooms while also having great shared spaces. It is dated, but I think that’s part of the charm. The location was right next to 2 trolley stops, so it was easy to hop on those to get into town. The walk into town was also easily doable (20-25 mins).
The castle was clean and had all the space we needed and more for our three families. The location is excellent for walking to many attractions. The castle is a unique and fun property and my grandchild loved playing with the crowns.

This place is amazing! Clean, near tourist destinations.
We loved the Pillar Castle in St. Augustine. Super roomy and comfortable and plenty of places for freinds and family to gather. The location was close to everything and we were able to grab a ride share or shuttle to go to historic downtown in the evenings. House was very clean with all the amenities. Couldn’t ask for more. Thank You for the most memorable stay!!!
The place is historic, massive, and beautiful. Conveniently located, made walking St. Augustine a breeze when traffic is terrible. Clean and comfortable, this location is definitely an experience. Recommend staying during cooler temps.
We had a wonderful time traveling to St Augustine to celebrate our son’s wedding at the Cathedral Basilica, and this home was perfect place to stay for our family. It provided easy access to the cathedral, downtown, and local attractions. The multiple bedrooms, bathrooms, living areas and kitchen were ideal for all of our multigenerational needs.
This home is in the perfect location to explore St Augustine. It s just around the corner from the Old Jail where you can get on the Old Trolley hop-on, hoo-off tour. This was our means of transportation to and from the historic district. It is very close to the Fountain of Youth. And also close to Vilano Beach.
We took are teen sons to St Augustine to enjoy the history of the city. Staying at Pillars Castle was the ideal place. It was well appointed and the hosts were very responsive. We enjoyed staying in a historical home. We enjoyed the details of the home and the history. It was also ideally located to see the many other rich sights.

We loved the castle!
The Pillars Castle was amazing! We absolutely loved and enjoyed our stay with our family! It’s about a mile from the “action” of downtown but a lovely walk with things to stop on on the way. Literally around the corner from the fountain of youth. The property was beautiful and the house was clean and spacious!
Our party of four golfers was extremely pleased with this property. We all had our own space, including our own bathrooms, which is critical to have when we all like each other, but not that much. Everything as advertised, with many nice surprises and delights. Thanks to the owners for restoring this historic place, allowing others to enjoy.

Fun at the Castle
We enjoyed our stay at Pillar's Castle. It ended up being the central point for all of our activities revolving around our son's wedding at the Fountain of Youth which was actually within walking distance. Spacious kitchen and dining table was very convenient. The spacing of the bedrooms and two large rooms downstairs to hang in made it comfortable for privacy and ability to move around at any hour without bothering others. It was very clean, and beds were very comfortable.
Pillars Castle was an excellent venue for our family vacation with our son, daughters, their spouses and young children. There was plenty of room for everyone, and the home was within walking distance of many of the sites, shops, and restaurants. It was a short drive to the beach and grocery store. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook and eat in, and the property manager was friendly and responsive. Check in and check out were easy.
... we stayed in a castle!
We enjoyed this beautiful and spacious place that had royalty touches everywhere, even a knight that watches over the entrance and main room. While we went out to experience the wonderful food of the area, we would have been able to make full meals in the kitchen that is well stocked with everything we might need. The bedrooms and bathrooms are big and comfortable.
We definitely went home with sweet memories of this place and St. Augustine!

Outstanding experience
Our experience at The Pillar's Castle was outstanding. The home is extremely spacious, clean, and full of ambiance and unique decor. The Game room with a pool table and numerous other games and the piano were an added bonus. The host has thought of every possible accommodation a guest would need. Definitely would recommend.
We enjoyed our stay at this spacious home. Clean and well stocked with towels and everything you might need in the kitchen. There are also fluffy robes in each bedroom for use. Bathrooms are very clean and roomy. We enjoyed some of the board games and the pool table and a photo shoot using the throne chair. Just be aware-no bedrooms are accessible without climbing some stairs. Location is great-close to everything. Used an Uber to the Cathedral one night and it was 15 for an XL (Had 5 people) I would definitely recommend this property as long as stairs are not a problem for you.

Fun with friends
Pillars castle is so beautiful and unique. Everything about this lovely historic building is educational as well as a plush living space for your vacation. Each bedroom is an enjoyable peaceful resting place and the main rooms provide every amenity you need for games chatting with friends and family the grand piano and the pool table room are very chic. My friends and I had a wonderful time. The castl is very convenient for visiting the downtown as well as other areas of scenic st Augustine.
We stayed for two days with our wedding party. We have never seen a more a more thoughtfully and thoroughly appointed kitchen and bar area, which were greatly appreciated for our event (especially the additional full-sized and dorm fridges!) The rooms and bathrooms were gorgeous and the living spaces so luxurious! We loved the spacious driveway area and the beautiful little courtyard. The furnishings and decor were super-conducive to our event photos! Very responsive communication from this group. Would definitely recommend for a magical stay in St. Augustine!
We enjoyed this property so much! The historical details throughout, the design, the little touches made our stay. We celebrated my moms 70th with her children and grandchildren. It was absolutely perfect. Wide open great room, perfect for a family to hangout in. The kids loved the game room and pool table- lots of activities for them. I would definitely stay here again. The photos don’t quite capture how cool this property is. Well managed and very clean! Thank you! Great weekend!

Pillars castle
This has got to be the most fantastic motel/castle one could ever stay on. It is gorgeous. Each room is huge and interestingly decorated. It’s really fun touring this place. Everywhere you turn there is a bathroom. Very modern inside. Large soft towels by the dozen in each room. We love it and highly recommend it to anyone visiting this area. The tour of this house is as interesting as any place you will see here in Saint Augustine. Loved every minute we spent in the castle and loved calling it “our castle” each time we referred to it. “Are we go to meet at the castle? Are we going back to the castle now?”

Amazing
The Pillars castle was exactly as represented. The layout was a little confusing to us as we needed 4 rooms / bathrooms. The house fits the need but know thst the 4th room is on the 3rd floor with no actual door. People cannot SEE into your room without ascending the stairs but less “private”. Th assigned bath is small and at the other end of the 2nd floor hall. It is manageable but if venturing during the night, leave lights on.
bath robes were a really nice touch. Having plenty of towels was very helpful.
Home was very clean and well appointed with appliances, paper, soaps, etc and such a small expense for the benefit of the guest.
thank you for a smooth transition. Our groups had an amazing time exploring the area. Lots of fun and memories.
