(222 reviews) Great location - close to the main square and Christmas market was just outside. The 2 bedroom apartment looked new and had 3 bathrooms which was a surprise. Only negatives were the small old (but working!) elevator and one of the bathrooms smelled bad. Also we had booked for 4 adults and 1 child but the sofa bed was not made up for us. Thankfully there were sheets and a towel available in the cupboard. (1,006 reviews) The hotel is beautiful. We loved the history and character. The rooms were very comfortable. However, the service was uneven. We were told that we could order room service until 1am, so ordered. Waited an hour and nothing. When we called, we were told that there weren’t any kitchen staff and someone had come to our door to let us know. We had answered the door but no one was there and no message. When we mentioned this, they provided us with cocktails the next day. We ordered again on another day, but it took almost an hour and the food and coffee arrived cold. The eggs were flavorless. We asked that they provide us with the coffee pods given that our coffee was cold, but these never arrived. Given it is considered a luxury hotel, not impressed. (57 reviews) I really wanted to love this place. It has so much potential, and the interior design is great. However, sadly, my 2 nights there weren't as expected. 1\. The pool was full ot bugs and flies and, overall, less clean than you would like it to be. 2\. The bigger issue is that our shower broke the moment we used it, and then the water was dripping (not a little) throughout our stay... 3\. The wifi is totally choppy, so if you want to work, you need to tether. 4\. Lastly, the moment people arrived at the room next door, it felt as if we were in a dormitory ...you could hear everything they did or said. As luck has it, they werre also a group of inconsiderate guests and were up and about way after it's polite in a hotel setting. For the price, sadly, the quality wasn't there.
