Discover a more intimate side of Tuscany at Castagno, a spacious apartment with a private entrance on Brotes, our wine estate in the Montagnola Senese, just 25 minutes from Siena. This is a retreat surrounded by nature and silence, ideal for enjoying with family or friends.



At 580 meters above sea level and surrounded by centuries-old chestnut trees, Brotes sits atop a hill in a protected natural area. Here we grow our own grapes and make our own wine, following a tradition that has been part of these lands for centuries.



Getting here is part of the experience—the iconic strade bianche wind through forests and countryside until you reach the estate. Once here, everything slows down.



Castagno features spacious, comfortable areas to share while maintaining privacy. There are two large bedrooms, each with a private bathroom, plus a third, simpler annex bedroom without air conditioning. The apartment has its own entrance and is accessed by stairs, giving you complete independence during your stay.



Start your morning at your own pace, relax by the pool, enjoy the hot tub or sauna, and find your perfect spot to read or unwind. In the evening, gather around the table, open a bottle of our wine, and savor a dinner that stretches into the night with good conversation and company.



You can also taste our wine and olive oil, and in season, pick fresh produce from the garden for your meals.



Siena is 25 minutes away, and Monteriggioni, San Gimignano, and Volterra are perfect for exploring Tuscany from Brotes.
