South Kona Vacation Packages

This place was awesome, it’s right on the beach and we saw eels, crabs, and fish playing in the reef below. Perfect viewing for sunsets as well. Check in and out was a breeze. Having the full kitchen is nice so we could cook breakfast before we went out and explored. Having the beach towels, coolers, and chairs already at the place really helped when packing for the trip. The place is beautiful surrounded with amazing plants all around. Perfect place to stay in Hawaii.

The condo was very nice and clean; with all you needed to enjoy the stay. The only issue we had was that the toilet had a leak at the base and caused the bathroom floor to be wet. We did let the office know but it was not fixed by the time we had to leave. We solved the problem by wrapping a beach towel around the base on the toilet.

Upon check-in I learned that booking through Expedia cancels any benefits of a Bonvoy member (breakfasts, upgrades, etc). The hotel was not very helpful and dismissed the issue, Expedia support was worthless and never responded. I would never use Expedia again for a Marriott, or other major brand, hotel reservation if you have earned status. The fitness center is very basic, and doesn't appear to have been update since our last stay, years ago. The food options are very limited, and expensive . The pool bar is also very basic, using machine dispensers for blended drinks and no good options for kids. They had beach cruisers, complimentary. which are fun and the concierge was very helpful.

Traveled with our little family. Overall very satisfied with our stay. The check in process, the property, the communication and check out was all a breeze. The unit was great, clean and spacious. Only saw one cockroach on the last day outside near our door. Which I’m guessing is not a big deal for Hawaii. The only thing I would wish for is having the most basics in the kitchen, like salt, pepper and cooking oil. Also, having more laundry detergent available would be ideal. I ended up going to the office, which is not on site, to ask for extra and they gave me some extra no problem.

Second time staying here and we love how relaxing and not-busy this resort is. Unfortunately, this time there were some issues that could’ve been and should’ve been handled. We had 2 rooms and both didn’t have any soap for bathroom sink provided. We had to call housekeeping to get some so that we could wash our hands after using the bathroom and it took over and hour and 2 calls to get it. We found cockroaches in a couple of areas (the pool and outside our room) and when we called to have someone take care of it, it took over 4 hours and more calls to the front desk. On top of that, the Holoholo store on the property, had THE MOST rude worker. She was in the coffee bar area and every time we went, she was so clearly irritated to have to help anyone. She was equally rude to everyone I saw her come in contact with so I know it wasn’t just toward us. Spoke to the hotel manager, Sally, who was aware and advised about the situation. She was very apologetic but this store isn’t actually associated with the resort. Whatever you do, don’t eat breakfast at the Piko restaurant in the resort. Beyond expensive and none of us enjoyed the food! Lunch bar is great for food however!
