"We had three wonderful days in Limone and got exactly what we expected: a spacious room with a balcony and a beautiful view of the lake. The mattresses were a bit firm, and unfortunately, the shower isn’t ideal for people of average height. The pool is clean and perfect for relaxing – until the pump starts running. "We loved staying here, this hotel and town are so cute! Would absolutely stay again! The town in essentially on a steep cliff, so it is likely not a place you want to stay if mobility is an issue. Other than that, would absolutely recommend! "

"We had an amazing time at Hotel Villa Dirce. The hotel is essentially carved into the side of the mountain overlooking the lake and is absolutely picturesque. Our room (and it seems most of the rooms from what we could tell), had a truly amazing view out over the lake. The nearby town of Limone has cute restaurants and shops (can get crowded during peak times), and is a 0.8 mile walk from the hotel. There seems to be a lot of discussion about the walk in the comments, I would generally say the walk is very doable (primarily one set of stairs to climb/descend depending on the direction), but if mobility is a concern the stairs are a little steep. However, there is a shuttle that runs regularly between the hotel and the town center. The hotel has an awesome pool with amazing views over the lake. There isn't direct access to the lake from the hotel, but there are public beaches along the walk to Limone. Would highly recommend Hotel Villa Dirce!"

"We really loved the hotel. We had great stay with amazing memories. Everyone who we met who worked in the hotel was so amazing, friendly and helpful. Ladies on reception quick, efficient, smiley! Breakfast area people always super helpful and welcoming. Shuttle bus lady - always smiling. Guest were also super friendly always happy to exchange a word about experience or plans. Room was big with a very comfortable bed, all facilities were great, and good number of towels!!! room not extremely modern but not old either, actually it didn’t change a thing! Swimming pools amazing! With wonderful view. All plants and trees were beautiful too. Parking super easy and safe. Restaurants nearby! Very clean and everything organised well. We loved it!!! Air con could be stronger but it did the job to provide a cooler space. We loved the hotel and we felt comfortable and welcomed. Thank you to everyone who put a lot of work so everything works smoothly. Also thank you for smiling it makes an amazing difference! "

"Excellent hotel with a fantastic view. Staff all very polite. Few minor issues: water by the pool should be free / there should be a water dispenser; guests should be able to borrow an iron (never been to a hotel where this wasn’t possible); staff don’t understand the concept of ice coffee which we found strange. None of these things stopped us from having an excellent time and we would love to come back! Fantastic facilities and exceptionally positioned on the lake (not too far from picturesque Limone town)."

In itself was equipped with everything you could need, the walk in wardrobe and bathroom were particularly impressive. The purple walls weren't to my taste.
