I enjoyed my stay at the Latchis very much. It was my first time there since 2018 and hope to make a return trip again very soon!

Absolutely wonderful place! The Viking theme is so fun and there’s a lot of really cute touches that the kids enjoyed. The sheep were so fun to watch and there were lots of adorable little babies. The owners were so kind and texted us when it was time to feed them and explained so much about them. They even let us know when the Viking cabin opened and we got to explore in there as well. Cabin was amazing and had everything we needed plus some. We were able to cook a full dinner and enjoy the night by the fire. Very welcoming place!

The Shire is in a wonderful location and I would recommend for a short stay. They are in the midst of a renovation and the rooms and exterior are nice and well kept. My only issue was that the coffee bars were not well stocked all the time with the same variety and the ice machine was not well stocked as it ran out of water to produce ice during our 2 night stay. Otherwise, the place and location is wonderful.

Beautiful getaway, family, and pet friendly beautiful lake views great lodge/restaurant directly across the street. Clean, comfortable rooms and beds are amazing, Continental breakfast is all you need to start your day! Staff is always friendly! Great activities for kids and families! Peaceful environment, quiet ! So enjoyable
