- Disliked: Cleanliness, staff & service, amenities, property conditions & facilities
Booked this "hotel" for a last minute, one night trip to see some friends in NJ. We only booked it because they had no pet fee, which was great. Firstly, this place is insanely dated. There's no elevator to get to the 2nd floor, so prepare to lug your bags up old wood steps (I had to carry our senior dog up and down them). All of the rooms open up to the outside and parking lot, instead of inside of the building, so hope it doesn't rain in the direction of your door. This Also made me feel massively unsafe. I booked a king suite, non-smoking room. The minute we opened our door it was like walking into an ash tray. It was terrible. After telling the front desk, they quickly changed the room. When we got to that room there was a man inside spraying it with room spray. Whole room smelled like apple cinnamon cigarettes. It was shabby, and for the suite it was tiny. The toilet constantly ran, there was mold spots on the shower curtains, the bed was old and you could feel the springs through the thin topper. We also noticed that the "extended stay" guests we ran into treated the place like a trashy apartment complex. One room was wide open with the TV blaring, some woman yelling and clothes and shoes and a box fan outside of it. Needless to say, skip this place and look at the hotels next door and across the street.
