No need for a "do not disturb" door hanger, no noisy hallways, no morning knocks on the door saying "housekeeping", privacy privacy privacy with a view of the countryside, private hot tub General ruling for this sweet cottage is that it is very homey, inviting and comfortable - if you like mother nature's gifts, quiet country living, this is the destination for you - and only a few minutes from downtown somerset, etc. Imagine waking up to the sounds of mother nature's music from the birds, rooster crowing, wind curving through the trees, sun billowing through the windows to warm your soul, in our opinion, heaven on earth. Step out on the patio to hear the rustle of the breeze in the trees and let it soothe your soul, and the view - what a priceless gift. You will not want to leave. For the couples who have visited, its my understanding that it was just what they needed....we just might decide to call this spot the "LOVE SHACK". If you want a fun activity take a kayak or canoe or tube to strawberry road just a few minutes away and float down the creek. 10 minutes from six boat ramps on Lake Cumberland and plenty of convenient parking room for your boat or classic car (ask for access to the garage if you wish to put your classic vehicles under roof). A couple of miles from downtown Somerset, water park nearby. Quiet family friendly 3 bedroom, sleeps up to 8, has full size bed this room has 32 inch roku ready smart tv, queen size bed this room has 32 inch roku ready smart tv and king size bed and hide a bed couch - ceiling fans in every bedroom and living room and kitchen, Furnished with washer/dryer in closet in kitchen - easy access, kitchen has oven/stove microwave, coffee maker including keurig, refrigerator with ice maker, dishwasher, bath has full tub/shower. Fully furnished in every way - including starter coffee. cleaning process is per vrbo guidelines, as for the cleaning, i have used a treatment called permasafe it is a permanent antimicrobial - that alone per fda kills viruses as effective as lysol wipes etc.. permasafe is on all surfaces, furniture, touch points, hvac filter, remotes etc. also we us an ozonator on all rooms after the guest leaves. after cleaning with vinegar water mixture, we spray everything down with alcohol. there is, hand soap provided for each renter. the hot tub water is flushed and treated with chlorine shock. the pool is shocked chemically every time a new renter arrives. After our first visit last summer here we fell in love with this place!! Fenced in backyard for our 2 doggies to roam and play. They liked the horses and bulls up front, barking telling em hello lol. But Kris is the best of hosts you’ll ever find!! Anything you may need she says always to holler but you don’t need anything, she has it all there!! We spent 4 nites at the firepit, stargazing, listening to the sounds of the mountains we are in. Absolutely beautiful house and property!! The hot tub out back a big time hit with the kids and their significant others!! We loved it as well! Beds very comfortable, house very clean and no issues other than the water heater went out on us on Saturday and we texted and talked with her and she had a crew out there fixing it and we had hot water again in no time!! Kris you have a beautiful property and thank you for sharing that with us! We absolutely love your place and we will be back for our 3rd visit next summer/fall as long as you allow us! It was unfortunetly at the opposite end of the lake but very glad we booked it. There was initial confusion about the address, but getting away albeit in the rain the the beautiful country setting was just what we needed, The hot tub looking out at the farm animals and birds with fireflies flashing in the tree like twinkling lights. One of the only rentals that had plenty of towels and towels for the hot tub as well. Would like to return when we have more time to relax. Thanks for the stay ##### denise c. The house is clean, cozy, and full of charm. You can truly feel the care and love the owner has put into every detail to ensure guests have a peaceful, relaxing experience. She was incredibly friendly and responsive, which made everything even smoother. The views from the hot tub and fire pit—overlooking a picturesque hillside with grazing livestock—were simply beautiful. Our dogs had the time of their lives running around the spacious, fenced-in backyard. We couldn’t have asked for a better getaway! ##### Melissa W. This was our second time staying at this charming and cozy place and we loved it just as much as we did the first time! We have family that we visit in the area and it’s a perfect base camp to come and visit, yet have our own space without imposing on family.
