Not as bad as i was expecting following previous reviews. Every ok and as descibed. Just very basic and lacking in any personality. Be great at half the price as a working mans stop over.

Broken bed, carpets were worn ripped and the whole place just wasnt inviting. Room was small and nothing like the picutres. Checked out within 2 hours of checking in and went 10 minutes up the road for £20 more and the new place was immaculate

Definatley not a 3.5 star hotel more like a unclean Hostel.shower was very dirty with someone else's hair, no hand wash, no shower gel.Reception was closed after booking in, unable to complain or ask for anything.Bed was broken and sheets had holes, wish i read reviews before booking.

Okay stay, not the warmest or friendliest of hosts. Area felt a bit dodgy with some shouting etc outside, I guess not much anyone can do about that. No where to hang clothes in the room, bedside light but no where to plug it in, world's smallest towel. Room okay for one night's stay, priced appropriately. Location not too far from Train/Bus Station and easy walking distance to shops/restaurants/beach. Probably would not stay again.

The whole hotel needs a good spruce up! Bed was a very cheap mattress, lumpy old pillows and apparently clean bedding that was covered in other peoples hair. I went and brought new pillows and cover as i couldnt bare to sleep on them. Stains on the headboard. Room was very dusty. Door did not lock or unlock properly. It took me 10mins to get in my room.

Disaster.

No reception during stated normal checkin times. Help yourself with key left in room. Dirty sheets, had to ask for clean ones, not much better. Bedside lamp & kettle not working. Cause found to be smashed extension lead plug with live wires exposed next to bed. Room not vacuumed Had to change to another room. Better but not made up so had to vacuum ourselves and take towels, tea coffee etc. from other room. Hotels.com photos very deceptive. Looks modern but photos must have been taken many years ago as reality is very dated.

Don’t stay.

No one in reception upon check in. Once checked in, we got told the room didn’t lock so my friend would have to leave all his belongings in my room. So off to work we go, we come back to find out that someone had been in his room which the reply we got was ‘oh i told the cleaners not to go in there but they don’t speak good english’. luckily he’d put his stuff in my room otherwise it would’ve all been gone. The bed was all messed up with the window left wide open and some of his stuff in the bin, credit where it’s due they moved him rooms upstairs. Apparently it’d been recently refitted but it absolutley hadn’t. No heating or hot water, luckily had an electric heater.

Won't be Returning

Wouldn't go back. We had 2 rooms, one for my 14 yr old son and the other for my wife and I. We were on the first floor and he was on the 2nd. His room was satisfactory and came equipped with shower gel, tea coffee etc. Ours had tea and coffee but no shower gel. Apparently, they'd 'Ran Out'. The clothes hanger in our room was hanging off the wall. There was no hanger in my sons room. The surfaces were not clean and the bed looked like it hadn't been made with clean linen. The door to the bathroom was so creaky it was unbearable, especially when you couldn't keep it open due to limited space. Parking was very limited and there was no drop kerb, so has to mount the full curb to park and pay £3.50 for the privilege. Would not go back here if it was free.

Upon arrival the hotel was hosting a wedding reception with a lot of people and very loud music, and the member of staff who suddenly appeared saying they knew nothing about the wedding taking place. This then meant that despite the hotel advertising parking, all the spaces were filled with wedding guests so we were unable to make use of that. We understand the whole you get what you pay for sort of thing…. However as a heads up for future guests… there is a lot of noise, the bed is so uncomfortable and also a lot smaller than a standard sized double, there is nowhere to hang clothes, not even hooks for a coat, you don’t even get hand soap in the bathroom. The, what appear to be, fist/punch marks in the bathroom door were a beautiful added extra alongside the dirty protest looking stains on the walls and broken window handles as well as up side down fitted blind, really added to the decoration of the room. We can only hope for the sake of the rest of the guests that the number 1 on room 1 doesn’t stand for the highest standard of rooms…. All in all, would not personally stay here again. The only positive is it’s less than a 10 minute walk to the seafront.
