Lovely characterful property. Friendly staff and very polite, Room was good, huge bathroom and very clean, robes and towels supplied. We did use the pool which was lovely. There is nothing lift so be careful if a bit unsteady on your legs as lots of steps and stairs around.
Loved our stay, the spa and facilities were perfect, room very comfortable and the staff couldn't do enough for you expecially the breakfast staff. You must try the lovely English wine on their menu it is beautiful.
Excellent stay, loved our room, number 10. Spa area and outdoor plunge pool were great. Food and drink brilliant quality and tasty. The most outstanding thing about our stay was the staff, professional, friendly, knowledgeable and exceptional customer service. We will definitely return. Thank you.
On day of arrival and also during the stay the reception and restaurant staff was amazing. We booked the stay based on how we were spoken over the phone when contacting the propery prior for some details. Spa facilities clean and fully working, cannot mention a negative comment about the property.
High standard rooms with lavish furnishings
Pool and spa open before breakfast which I appreciate. Good choice at brekky, served at table. Lovely grounds and ponds.
Excellent check in and brief overview of the hotel and key areas. Good sized room and bathroom. Restaurant was fine, menu a little limited but the steak was good. Breakfast cooked to order and great quality. Staff at breakfast very pleasant. Didn’t use the Spa as I didn’t have time but it looked busy. Overall a great one night stay for the money and will definitely be back.
Everything from start to finish was superb. The welcome was happy and polite with even a little tour of the facilities. Not sure if we got an upgrade but the room (28) was massive with a jacuzzi bath and was very clean. Breakfast was lovely. Didn't have any treatments but used the facilities and can't fault it in any way. Would definitely recommend this place.
Nice hotel, an older building with a more modern extension. Professional friendly and service oriented staff everywhere. We just had an anniversary night away and thoroughly enjoyed it. Dinner was excellent and well served and waited on. Our bedroom wasn’t air conditioned and that would have been a bonus as it was in the 30s outside, however the fan in the room was a life saver. Other rooms do have aircon so it’s worth asking.
Room gorgeous, facilities fantastic, staff brilliant, friendly and helpful. Probably one of the nicest, if not the nicest hotel I've stayed in and fully plan to return
Great place to stay, lovely staff,a good base to explore from, highly recommended from us.

We had the loveliest stay in this hotel, the staff were so welcoming and the spa was amazing! Also would highly recommend booking into the Lakes Restaurant during your stay, great food for a really good value and our server (Faith I think her name was) was fabulous! We would definitely be back :)
The staff are exceptionally nice and always cheerful. The spa is extremely good with a quiet swimming area, jacuzzi, steam and sauna, as well as an excellent massage and facial. It was perfect for a relaxing weekend and very good value.
When me and my daughter arrived at hempstead house, we was very welcomed by the receptionist. Our room was clean and fresh to a very high standard. The food was outstanding and the staff
