Property restoration from Hurricane Helene has been mostly completed but there may be some ongoing construction and other inconveniences depending on the period of your stay. Access to the beach is at the north end of the property at Turtle Beach. Fisherman's Cove is a very rare Siesta Key condo where every unit has direct, unobstructed, full Gulf views. The building is one of the closest condos to the Gulf on all of Siesta Key. You could throw a tennis ball into the gulf from this Siesta Key beachfront condo! Located at Turtle Beach on the island of Siesta Key off Sarasota, Florida, this vacation home has the best of both worlds - the beach in front and boat docks with access to the Intracoastal Waterway in back. While not as powdery white as Crescent (Siesta) Beach, it is less crowded and great for collecting shells. NOTE: Because of minimal beach directly in front, access to the beach is at the north end of the property at Turtle Beach. This lovely unit is on the second floor, accessible using the elevator or outside stairwell. This unit has been recently updated with new furniture in every room! It has modern tile flooring in the living spaces, hardwood look flooring in the bedrooms, and renovated kitchen. The kitchen has granite countertops, and modern stainless steel appliances including refrigerator with through the door ice/water, glass top range and oven, dishwasher and microwave. The kitchen is fully equipped including a range of small appliances. The dining area has seating for four and is right off the kitchen. The living room is well appointed with stylish couch and loveseat, large flat panel HDTV and an amazing view out to the lanai and the Gulf. The air-conditioned lanai has floor to ceiling glass sliders overlooking the Gulf of Mexico and the beach below. This unit also has glass sliders between the living room and Lanai giving the option of closing it off so the inside is air-conditioned but sliders can be opened on the Lanai. It is furnished with chairs and table to let you get comfortable as close to the water as possible. Sleep at night with the ocean surf right outside your window! The master bedroom has a bay window overlooking the Gulf and beach below. It has a king-size bed, large HDTV, walk-in closet, and en suite bathroom with a tub/shower combo. The second bedroom has one queen-size and two twin-size bunk beds, flat panel HDTV and a large window overlooking the bay and boat docks. Additionally, a twin self-inflating/deflating aerobed is provided that can be placed wherever you choose. The second bath has a tub/shower combo. This unit has its own dedicated high-speed broadband WIFI. This unit also comes equipped with a full size washer/dryer. Boat docks are available for guest use at no extra charge!! Bring your boat or rent one after you get here. Keep it right at the condo all week long. (Note; trailers cannot be stored on site) Fisherman's Cove is located less than 25 minutes from Sarasota airport, 90 minutes from Tampa, and two and a half hours from Orlando. Tons of great restaurants and golf courses are nearby. Fisherman's Cove is on the southern end of Siesta Key at Turtle Beach and is very quiet and un-crowded. The view is to the west for spectacular sunsets! It's not unusual to be able to watch dolphins swim by in the Gulf from the lanai / patio. It was beautifully furnished and we had everything we needed. We appreciated how clean it was. The lanai was a gorgeous place to watch the waves roll in, the birds fly past and the fish jump. We ate all of our meals out there and it was a great spot for morning coffee. Our place was clean and mostly updated. Kitchen had what we needed and appliances worked well. Had updated cabinets and counter tops. The location is wonderful close to the beach. There wasn't beach directly in front but you just had to walk down the complex a few steps. The veiw was amazing. Beds were comfortable. Hot water heater worked well. The beach chairs provided came in handy. The pool was a little small for the size of the complex. The complex is older but the grounds were kept clean. The beach has some erosion which makes the beach narrow. But the water was wonderful and my family enjoyed the wonderful seashells they were able to find. The condo is dated but well-maintained. We absolutely loved the in-suite washer and dryer—it was great to be able to launder our beach towels and clothes every night. Sleeping six would be a stretch and pantry space would be tough with a longer stay if eating in all the time. Due to pandemic, we stayed mostly at the beach or condo and I have no complaints. ##### Erin C. May 14, 2018 #### Great vacation rental Fishermans Cove is the perfect place to get away from it all. We were steps away from the ocean and spent countless hours sitting on the porch listening to the ocean. It has all the benefits of being on Siesta Key but without the crowds since you are at the quiet end of the island. The unit was well equipped with plenty of room and the furnishings were comfortable. It was a short walk to have dinner at Turtles and a short drive to Publix and Walgreens as well as downtown Siesta Key. Sunnyside Properties were a delight to deal with throughout the whole rental process. They have the easiest check in/check out procedure that I have ever had. The location was perfect. Close to everything, including the trolly, if you need it. We felt comfortable staying during the Covid-19 pandemic, because of our timing of our stay and the location of the condo unit. We enjoyed the private beach and the few people on the beach were appropriately social distanced. The only hiccup was upon check-in because the cleaners were not done cleaning the unit. We could not check in until 4:30 pm. But even that would not deter me from renting again. The accommodations were great and the view was spectacular. ##### Michelle W. In my 52 years of traveling it was the dirtiest place I’ve stayed in. Just about every surface was dirty , dusty and hairs on the bathroom floor were not mine. I do think the sheets were clean but not sure about bedspreads. I have pictures of my dirty cleaning rags . The windows overlooking the gulf were filthy inside and out. After cleaning all the smudges and handprints on the inside the view was somewhat improved. The location was great and I would return to that location but NOT in this unit. ##### Donna H. The unit is a bit dated but very clean. There were a some minor hiccups at the beginning but the Lisa and Greg (maintenance) were on top of it. The only complaint was bed and sheets. The mattress sags and needs to be replaced. Also the sheets were like sandpaper. For the price, I expect a bit more but the view made up for it. ##### MIsti M. Condo was nicely decorated. Nice towels and beach towels. Need a grab bar in bathtub. View was wonderful. Wi Fi was out when we got there but with work we finally got it. Could use new mattresses.
