Light, bright, beachy and welcoming! A slice of old Florida just steps away from private beach access. Nestled behind the dunes is this hidden gem and slice of paradise. 2nd Fl unit with all the comforts of home, and recently updated with new paint, furniture, flooring, and ceiling fans. Spend your days at the #1 beach in the US or explore all there is to do in Siesta Key Village, Sarasota, St. Armand’s Circle, Lido key and Longboat Key. Beach chairs are provided for our guests at the beach - Umbrellas, beach towels, beach wagon and cooler are in the unit. The community has a pool, shuffleboard and a Laundromat (located on ground floor). High speed internet, cable TV and smart TVs in all of the rooms. There is a charcoal grill located out front of the bldg, as well as common area table/umbrella space for hanging out. Full kitchen including a dishwasher and microwave for those nights you want to stay in, Keurig, as well as drip coffee makers (byo Kcups), and sheets and bath towels will be provided to our guests. There are 2 bedrooms, the first with a king bed, and the second with a queen and single bed. There is parking in front of the unit, but you can get around the Key using the Free Trolley system that runs from from 9:00 a.m til 10:00 p.m every 15 minutes. There are other free methods of transportation too that you can contact for pick-up (tips appreciated). And of course, Uber is always an option. Our unit is about 1.5 miles from the north Village and about 1 mile from the South Village. The location of this property is outstanding, a short walk from the magnificent Siesta beach. However, the pool is not co-located with the condo and is a 5-6 min walk away which makes nap time with little kids a bit of a challenge when the older ones want to keep swimming. The listing is also a bit misleading as the condo is somewhat smaller than we are led to believe from photos, living space is tight if you have a family with kids. The laundry machine is outside the unit in a public space - recommend you bring quarters as the phone app did not work for us. Finally the unit is on the second floor but does not have elevator so be prepared for stairs. ##### Stephen G. The beds were incredibly comfortable and the decor was beachy, but not cheesy. I’m an artist myself and I loved the artwork in the living room. The short walk to the private beach was ideal for my mother who walks with a cane. We enjoyed the convenience of the bus / trolley stop being so close to the entrance of the property. What a great location! My only gripe would be the water pressure in the shower is really low adding extra time to our getting ready process, lol. Having a beach wagon, cooler, 2 umbrellas, chairs, and beach towels were essential items that the owners provided. Also, the helpful hints book was a great resource that the was provided that we used quite often for transportation and other recommendations. Communication was excellent! Unfortunately, not by any fault of the owners this area was hit very hard by the hurricanes and will take time to recover. There is lots of construction and loud noise happening all around the immediate area and under the unit. Once you get to the beach the view is beautiful and the sand is perfect!
