Spacious room with lots of storage space and a washer/dryer. Very obliging and helpful, friendly staff. Only complaint is the aircon which is super strong despite adjusting the temp to 25C, and it still felt like 12C. Hotel is close to malls and underground stations. Very convenient. Staffs were nice and helpful. However, the room cleaning could be improve a lot, the floor with a lot stains was a bit disappointed at such room rate. It’s within walking distance to the Bund and the shopping district of West Nanjing Road, and surrounded by several malls—making transportation and access very convenient. The main reason we chose this hotel was to experience the historical charm of the former “Far East Hotel.” It certainly delivered on that front. The only downside is that there isn’t a dedicated breakfast area; instead, breakfast is delivered to the room. The options are quite limited—mainly bread, orange juice and coffee. That said, ordering food delivery is very convenient, and everything gets sent directly to your room.
