You are literally 2 turns and 6 miles (only 10 minutes) from the Shagbark guard gate to the main parkway in Pigeon Forge and you come out at light #3 which is Wears Valley Rd., right in the middle of everything in Pigeon Forge! Something Great about the Shagbark Resort is all of the cabins are on at least 1/2 acre lots, so they are not stacked on top of each other like some resorts are! The main level has the living room with a sleeper sofa, 2 comfy chairs (1 reclining), a beautiful stone gas burning fireplace (in season), a large flat screen TV, a 2 player 60 game video arcade table set on Free play, the open very well stocked kitchen with a beautiful 7 ft log table with log chairs and a bench that seats 6-7 people, one of the bedrooms with a King size log bed, a full bath (with plush towels), and the laundry room with a full size washer & dryer (we provide your liquid laundry soap, Downy, and dryer sheets). Rod and Julie were so quick to respond to any and all questions we had. The drive up was beautiful and easy to navigate. I’ve stayed in several Gatlinburg cabins, and I didn’t find the drive to be too steep or the cabin difficult to access! We felt really safe in the cabin. Nice views and worked out great for our family. Driveway is pretty steep and would probably need 4wd in the snow. Speed bumps in the community are a bit much. It was clean and well stocked. Beds and couches were comfortable. We had to reach out once about how to work something on the hot tub but he responded quickly and helped us figure it out. It was close enough to everything to do what we wanted but far enough to relax and enjoy our time together. We will definitely be staying here again. ##### Kari B. We liked the black bear theme, and the creek nearby was soothing to hear on the deck. The kitchen was well stocked, the gas fireplace cozy for cool evenings, the hot tub refreshing. We had 2 minor issues that were taken care of very fast, Rod was easy to get a hold of and very helpful. The best part was relaxing on the deck with a cup of coffee. It was spacious for our family and had what we need. We enjoyed the hot tub and the arcade game. The fast wifi was great because you don’t get signal. The cabin was fairly clean there were a few little things I noticed but the beds & boxspring had zipped protectors over them. This was a big plus for me as it’s one of the first things I check! I love that it’s in a gated resort while not being super close to other cabins. It was too cold to utilize the pool for us but we did walk down to it and it’s nice! ##### Brittany C. Decorated top notch. Very comfortable furniture. Beds perfect. Mr Rob easy to teach. Everything you need to cook. The roads at night are dangerous to drive. Sharp and many turns. Can’t tell you howMuch caution and attention neeeded. The entrance up to cabin straight up incline and also needs to be navigated carefully and slowly. If you are elderly or have trouble already walking not for you. The lodge located on mountain. Inside the tv in both bedrooms not operating. The maintenance man never showed up. There is not an upstairs shower but there is a nice large jetted tub upstairs. Beware when used it sounds like a jet plane landing up top. Downstairs bedroom occupant can here upstairs occupant doing their bathroom duties clearly. This is not for people in my age group. (70) if not in good shape. The balcony is wonderful but you really do not have a view. But the lodge is just beautiful and weather absolutely perfect, especially for us guys from Louisiana! ##### Judy T. My family of four (Mom, Dad, teen, tween) all enjoyed this cabin! The main thing I want to say is how comfortable everything was. It’s never good to go on vacation and lose sleep, have a back ache, or struggle with make shift situations. The owner said in his advertisement that they spared no expense on the beds and this were found to be true! The pillows were new fluffy and comfortable. The living room couch and love seat were comfortable. The kitchen table was a perfect place for our gathering. The sleep was great, the relaxation in the hot tub was so perfect. We’re played a lot of old school arcade games and loved it! We observed that every product provided was exceptional quality…not the cheap stuff, thankfully. We loved our vacation here. The driveway has a hard right turn at the entrance that might shock you, but it is fine even in full size for for trucks! The Shagbark community seems so quiet Anna cute! ##### Kimberly M. We all met up for a late Christmas and Superbowl/Puppybowl weekend with our babies (both 1 years old.) The cabin was clean and the perfect size for our party of 6 and our babies had more than enough room to run and play in the open living area. The hot tub was nice and warm with the cold weather, the fire was also nice and cozy! We prepared breakfast 2 mornings and a full Superbowl spread in the kitchen with no lack of supplies, even had plenty of foil, cling wrap and seasonings to use! The water pressure in the shower was fantastic. And last but certainly not least- Rod and Julie were amazing! The communication was top tier with warm, welcoming kindness. We've stayed rented cabins for 18 years and never had the attention to detail that we had with Rod and Julie. We will definitely be staying with them again! ##### Brittany L.
