You are literally 2 turns and 6 miles (only 10 minutes) from the Shagbark guard gate to the main parkway in Pigeon Forge and you come out at light #3 which is Wears Valley Rd., right in the middle of everything in Pigeon Forge! Something Great about the Shagbark Resort is all of the cabins are on at least 1/2 acre lots, so they are not stacked on top of each other like some resorts are! The main level has the living room with a sleeper sofa, 2 comfy chairs (1 reclining), a beautiful stone gas burning fireplace (in season), a large flat screen TV, a 2 player 60 game video arcade table set on Free play, the open very well stocked kitchen with a beautiful 7 ft log table with log chairs and a bench that seats 6-7 people, one of the bedrooms with a King size log bed, a full bath (with plush towels), and the laundry room with a full size washer & dryer (we provide your liquid laundry soap, Downy, and dryer sheets). We didn’t physically meet him but the communication we had felt like we were friends for years. He even checked in on us every so often…and gave us some extra time for check out. We were there for 4 nights. Another couple was with us so the 2 king size bedrooms and each of us having our own bathroom was amazing. Was an amazing getaway cabin secluded in a gated community Rick in the mountain. Loved every minute and highly recommend this place. Will come back again for sure! The cabin was very clean & was nicely furnished. The furniture & beds were very comfortable. The hosts did a great job making sure the kitchen had all the essentials without cluttering the cupboards & drawers with impractical items. Bakeware & cookware were of high quality which isn’t always the case in rentals. Although this cabin is near the main clubhouse & pool it felt very private. The hot tub provided a great view of the foothills. Rod reached out a few times during our stay to make sure everything was going well. It was nice to know he was just down the road in case we ran into any issues. We have stayed at many cabins in this area & would definitely return to this cabin again. ##### Terri N. This one was by far our favorite. It was spotless when we arrived and had all of the essentials items that we needed, such as laundry detergent, dish soap, coffee, and spices. The beds were very comfortable. The location couldn't have been better for us. It's located in Wears Valley only 10 minutes from Pigeon Forge. Mr. Frisby was a wonderful host and was very accommodating. Decorated top notch. Very comfortable furniture. Beds perfect. Mr Rob easy to teach. Everything you need to cook. The roads at night are dangerous to drive. Sharp and many turns. Can’t tell you howMuch caution and attention neeeded. The entrance up to cabin straight up incline and also needs to be navigated carefully and slowly. If you are elderly or have trouble already walking not for you. The lodge located on mountain. Inside the tv in both bedrooms not operating. The maintenance man never showed up. There is not an upstairs shower but there is a nice large jetted tub upstairs. Beware when used it sounds like a jet plane landing up top. Downstairs bedroom occupant can here upstairs occupant doing their bathroom duties clearly. This is not for people in my age group. (70) if not in good shape. The balcony is wonderful but you really do not have a view. But the lodge is just beautiful and weather absolutely perfect, especially for us guys from Louisiana! ##### Judy T.
