It’s about 20 minutes from town but we were totally fine with that. We loved the peace and quiet and we especially enjoyed the fire pit. You do have to bring own wood but we knew that. The front porch was also very enjoyable. The beds were comfortable as was all living room furniture. The showers were great with good hot water. There were lots of dishes, glassware, pots & pans but oddly no baking dishes. We were surprised too that there was zero coffee Usually we find at least 1 morning worth when we travel. There also was no salt or pepper or anything like that at all. We couldn’t get the remote to work for the fireplace. It appeared the remote was inoperable. It was pretty beat up. We couldn’t really read the buttons. Lastly there as an odor about the house. One of the bathrooms smelled of cat pee. You have to have AWD and probably a truck to get up to the cabin. My charger was not able to make it up and we slid down from the driveway! Everytime we left or came back to the cabin we had to hike up because of how steep the hill is. Needs to be written in the description, with better pictures!! ##### Peyton S. The amount of rotten wood was a huge concern. As one of us went up the back steps, the entire railing fell over to the side and nearly fell off. We did not use the hot tub because of the instability of the porch. The outside area is very dark because only 2 bulbs lit up the entire space. The toaster caught fire, and the dryer buttons had been ripped nearly off. The dishes in the cupboards were dirty and chipped. There were fingerprints all over the plates. There is no way the place had been dusted before we arrived. Lots of dust on the ceiling fans and the decor on the walls. This place disappointed us greatly. ##### Iris A. Location is nice environmentally. It is a timely drive from popular attractions if it’s crowded, so traffic can be lengthy, as expected. Only downsides are minuscule issues like DVD player not ejecting or outside decorative string lights not working properly, no effect on the overall experience, which was very pleasant. The property, home, and location are awesome. It's the perfect size for a 4 person family. The main drawback and the reason it only got 4 stars is the driveway. It's steep and features a near-180 degree turn. Even my truck tires squealed each time I went up. The house inside is perfect. Well appointed kitchen with utensils, pots, pans, etc. Bedrooms and baths are good sized. Not very many hangers which was sort of annoying. Outdoor area was great as well. Hot tub and fire pit are well placed and easy to use. The grill is one of those campground style grills. We used it a few times so it's fine if you're not trying to cook a lot of food. One side note, there is a home under construction currently and we heard consistent, loud jack hammering or something else during the day. Overall, this is a perfect spot for unplugging and relaxing. I would recommend to anyone (with an all wheel drive vehicle or truck) looking for a cabin experience. ##### Brian H. Absolutely beautiful property and the owners are always there when you need them. Customer service is top notch! I would definitely book this cabin again if it wasnt for the drive way. Its literally life or death in my opinion. I went up two other drive ways next door and my car made it up fine. But this cabins drive way has a weird cruve which makes it difficult. Especially if its raining. If you let go of the gas youre going off the cliff. You definitely need an all wheel drive or a newer, more powerful vehicle. All 3 drivers who drove up this drive way were scared. There is space to fix this drive way. Maybe make the cruve larger so its not as sharp.
