It has a very large master bedroom level with king bed jetted tub and full bath. The first floor is a great room with sleeper sofa dining area kitchen laundry and 1/2 bath. Perfect for a couple's getaway. nYou will find both Keurig and Mr. Coffee style coffee pots some k-cup pods in different flavors creamer pods sugar and sweetener packets also some snacks to start your stay. There is a basket of beach towels for the hot tub hand pump soap at each sink small soap packages paper towels. 2 new toilet paper in each bathroom dish soap and dishwasher pods. nThe cabin has a woodsy valley view from the covered hot tub deck a comfortable great room with dining area and upstairs an oversized King bedroom suite. nThe Shagbark Community has a 24/7 manned security gate with a texting system to keep guests aware of safety and helpful community information. You will find 2 common areas available to you at no cost. The meadow pavilion area by the creek has walking trail dog park playground Frisby golf tether ball pavilion with picnic tables and a small putting green. Further along N. Upon arrival the back door was left unlocked, a garden hose was in the hot tub with the water left on and over flowing. Most of the jets in the hot tub did not work. There was only two drinking glasses in the kitchen. Pots and pans were in terrible condition. Toilet paper holder was falling off the wall. Exterior ceiling fans were falling apart, interior ceiling fans looked like they had never been cleaned. Shower head was loose and sprayed water every where. We didn’t have soap to wash our hair with there, but everything else was thawed out and we had what we need in the blanket that we had was stinking. It hadn’t been washed for a while. Dirty sheets wadded on bed, towels in bathtub, could feel crumbs on the floor. There was even a knife in the drawer with PB&J all over it. Reached out that night and all I got from owner was "sorry it wasn't cleaned." Property is minimally maintained & looks like a lot of DIY. Shower curtain weighed down with chip clips & looked very dirty. Tub surround has a poor patch job on the outside. Faucets "upstairs" were installed backwards and leak all over the counter. Technically this is a studio/loft and has 0 bedrooms as the one "bedroom" has no door and no closets to be considered a bedroom. Zero privacy if you want to be here with more than 2 people. Had to hound the owner to see if we were at least get some compensation for it being dirty. She said we'll get a refund. A week later, had to contact again as no refund received. She finally sent us a little over 100, which we felt was not adequate as not only was it dirty, but we had to wash sheets when we got there with our own detergent and keep our 6 yo daughter up, to have clean beds. Which the dryer has an awful nails on chalkboard sound. When we reached out to VRBO a 2nd time, she was on the other line with them & admitted they didn't have enough time to clean between bookings. Looked on line for several places and lucked up to find Mountain Jewel. This cabin was clean and convenient to everything we wanted to do, Cades Cove, Roaring Fork, Greenbrier and Pigeon Forge. Cathy was very nice and made sure everything was ready for us even though she only had one day notice!. Would definitely book again.
