We were in the area as part of my son’s senior trip with his 2 best friends and their moms, my friends. The kids, 16-18, had the absolute BEST time hanging out in the game room, exploring around the cabin, and swinging in the swings. The moms enjoyed a well stocked kitchen for cooking our meals and a comfy living room. I would absolutely recommend this location to anyone I know who is going to the area. We had an absolutely fabulous time! We cooked several times, and the kitchen was very well appointed—we had everything we needed! We did see a bear outside while we were there, which was a little scary for a sec since half our group was in the hot tub at the time, but it was absolutely fine, as the bear had no interest in us! It actually made our trip even better and a little more exciting! Overall, we would stay there every year going forward if it’s available again! You feel surrounded by the woods, not other houses. The house is clean and well stocked and decorated. Jake and Megan were great to work with. The host was very attentive with amazing communication from right when we booked until checkout. It was supposed to snow the day we left and she wrote me and offered a late checkout in case we needed one, which was greatly appreciated. The cabin was located in a great location. The hill to the cabin is a bit steep, but we had no problems getting up it. The cabin was very clean and spacious. The kids loved the game room and hot tub. We enjoyed sitting next to the fire and playing in the woods. The kitchen was well stocked and all the rooms were very cozy and comfortable. Everything was great! The cabin was outstanding! It had everything you could possibility need!! I traveled wirh my husband, our son, my brother-in-law, his wife, my sister-in-law, and her son (7 total people). We were able to make memorable family meals cooked at the cabin (all necessities were provided to make dinner) and eaten at the large dining table that allowed us to have great conversations, relax in the awesome hot tub, & reconnect by the campfire at night listening to the nature around us! The porch swing on the top deck was another great place to relax to read a book I found in the cabin's collection. The manager/owner of the cabin provided items not only for adults to enjoy. There were things for children of all ages (swings on patio area, cornhole, pool table, video games, movies for young and old, games, and variety of toys, etc.!! The cabin's seclusion is what was needed by this busy, non-stop, city school special education teacher/home caregiver who works 7 days a week! All pictures provided on website were very accurate! The manager was awesome, friendly, helpful, informative, and very personable when I contacted her to ask a question. I felt like I was talking to a friend or family member! We are driving home & I'm already planning my next trip back to the same cabin or to one of Around The Bends other 2 cabins because of the awesome experience! Communication with hosts was excellent and they provided clear and detailed information and instructions, as well as shared local recommendations that was helpful. The cabin has everything we needed for a family vacation, we enjoyed being able to sit together in the spacious kitchen, we watched movies together, played games downstairs, and enjoyed an evening of hot tub and bonfire. The cabin had plenty of room for the eight members of our family. The one tiny downside would be not having a Mountain View from porch, but there’s a gorgeous view that we enjoyed every time we drove to and from, and the privacy and seclusion we felt was wonderful. There are other cabins around but you can’t really see and it felt like our own special place. Cabin was very clean, even the porch areas were clean, and furniture very comfy. The home was just as nice or better than expected. The layout was perfect for a large group. Multiple indoor spaces for varying interests, multiple porches and levels. Never felt crowded with 10 people from 1 to 69\. The communication with the owners was prompt and courteous and all questions and issues handled immediately (some of the best customer service I've ever received). We would definitely rent again. The 3 Stars for cleanliness was due to an issue downstairs. The bed frame felt flimsy so when we looked for the problem there was a lot of trash under the bed (beer cans, soda bottles, chip bags, etc) The cross piece at the head of the bed does not lock and was loose. we reconnected it and supported it because it would not lock in.and the bed frame needs a center support. An often overlooked issue that causes the bed to sag some and will cause excessive wear on the mattress. Everything else was spot on. ##### Hoke P. The cabin was perfectly positioned, nestled in the heart of the mountains with breathtaking views in every direction. It was a true escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The peacefulness and serenity of the surroundings made for a truly rejuvenating stay. But what truly made this cabin stand out was the exceptional hospitality of the hosts. They went above and beyond to ensure that my stay was comfortable and enjoyable. From providing helpful recommendations for local activities and attractions to promptly addressing any questions or concerns, they were always there to assist. The hosts' warmth and friendliness made me feel right at home, and their attention to detail was evident in every aspect of the cabin. It was clear that they genuinely cared about their guests' experience and went the extra mile to ensure that everything was perfect. I cannot recommend this cabin enough. Whether you're looking for a peaceful retreat in nature or an adventurous mountain getaway, this cabin has it all.
