The cabin is located in a gated community at the edge of the Smoky Mountain National Park, with the fun of Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg close by. Walden's Retreat in the Woods is only 15 minutes away from the Parkway in Pigeon Forge. To access the National Park, you can avoid the Parkway, by traveling via the "back way" through Wears Valley, located just minutes away. NO treacherous mountain roads. To get to the cabin, you will drive through picturesque roads surrounded by farms and mountains. The property is located on the side of an inclined road and we recommend a 4 wheel drive vehicle in the winter season. Other things to note We are happy to welcome you to our home. We want you to feel at home and ask that you please be respectful: \- No parties, events or large gatherings. Only disclosed guests are allowed on the property. \- No smoking, vaping or burning of anything inside or outside the cabin. \- No pets. \- Minimum rental age is 25. \- Check-in after 4PM \-Guest must provide a copy of a government-issued photo ID and agree to house rules to receive the door code. Reservation will be canceled if these are not provided. \-The house is located in a luxurious gated mountain community. We love our neighbors and ask that you respect their privacy and right to peacefully enjoy their residences. Quiet hours 10:00pm - 8:00am. \-There is no daily housekeeping service. The cabin was incredibly spacious, COZY, and clean. My husband and I were traveling with our 5 children (10, 7, 6, 3 and 3 years). The layout was perfect to accommodate our family. It was fully equipped beyond our expectation. Our oldest children loved the game room. My 3 year old daughter loves to read and it was such a sweet surprise to find a variety of books in the game room. With enough to pack already, these were simple yet sweet surprises that made it feel like home away from home. If we weren’t on the deck enjoying the hot tub, the outdoor fire pit and cozy ambiance, we were inside cozied up by the electric fireplace. We ran out of time to use the grill, but loved that it was available. Ambiance is important to me and COZY is my favorite word to describe our stay! My oldest son is picky when it comes to breakfast foods- he was thrilled to find a blender to make himself a smoothie. We were truly impressed how well stocked this cabin was from top to bottom. The host was incredibly friendly with prompt communication. We would book this cabin again in a heartbeat. Thank you for a such a beautiful stay! The location was excellent—within a 15-mile radius of everything you need: grocery stores like Kroger and Publix, gas stations, and all the main attractions. There’s something to do on every block, so you’ll never get bored.The drive up to the cabin was smooth—not too steep or scary. The cabin itself was fantastic. Every bedroom had its own bathroom, which was a huge plus! I tend to worry about having enough linens, but this cabin had plenty—and even extras. I also loved that there were cozy throws at the foot of every bed.The outdoor area was spacious and could easily accommodate a large group. The hot tub was clean and ready to enjoy.We will definitely be back. Monika, the host, was wonderful in communication with check in/check out and with suggestions for restaurants. It was definitely a 5 star experience. We loved our stay for a long weekend. The house was very clean!!! Even the hot tub was sparkling!! 👏👏 (The windows could use a cleaning from the outside but that was not an issue). Views are great from the cabin. All amenities worked great. The road to the cabin is steep so if ice/snow are expected on your journey I would guess you need atleast an AWD vehicle. ##### Rodrigo M. We absolutely loved everything about it. The property is wonderful with so many great personal touches. Our entire family loved the hot tub, game room, and wrap around deck. Received a visit on our porch one morning from a mama bear and her two cubs. The property is 15 minute drive to Pigeon Forge and 25 minutes to Dollywood. Super convenient to everything the area has to offer. Our family of 6 had plenty of room to spread out. Great dining room table board games. Loved making s’mores on the deck. Monika was a great host and responsive to all questions. Plan on coming back despite the 10 hour drive (came from Michigan). ##### Michael B. The cabin was in a perfect location but yet secluded enough to enjoy the peacefulness of the mountains! We loved the cabin, the kids loved the game room and I loved how clean and functional it was. We spent most of our days exploring but always enjoyed coming back to the cabin to relax, enjoy the hot tub and sit on the porches. Perfect family cabin! Will definitely book it again the next time we make the trek from Texas! Side: the host is very very communicative and kind!
