"The property owner had his maid write a hand note telling us to pay water and electricity and debated with us prior to leaving as I speak Wolof the native language of Senegal. NO WHERE ON THE LISTING does it state you have to pay for such basic things that you’d think comes with a villa… maybe he only tried to get me to do this who knows because I read reviews before booking. I made sure to take a picture of the note. Nice space otherwise and could use some air fresheners in the bathrooms."

"We just returned from a month-long stay at Ker Yaye Fatou. As a large family of 7 it offered us more than enough space to fully enjoy one another’s company! Both Mr. Mbaye and Armando Mane made sure all of our needs were met. The house was cleaned daily by Seynabou. which we really appreciated. Mane went out of his way to answer any questions as well as secure and maintain the property. It is a beautiful spacious home not far from the beach, Diamniadio, Yène and Popenguine. Beaucoup de points négatifs ( poubelles non vidées, lampes ne fonctionnant pas, terrasse non nettoyée, evacuation bouchees, odeurs nauséabondes, pas de wifi.).A notre depart pas d'état des lieux et la propriétaire se permet de facturer un forfait menage après avoir laissé l'endroit plus propre qu'à notre arrivée. Je deconseille fortement cette propriétaire malhonnête. "

"I was due to spend 2 weeks with my Gambian partner but due to unfortunate circumstances she was not able to come. The language was slightly difficult as I do not speak French or wolof, but the friendliness of the local people made sure I had a great time. "

"Nous avons été accueilli par Aziz une personne tout à fait sympathique. Le lieux est propice à la détente, très arboré ce qui permet d’avoir une diversité d’oiseaux, de papillon, libellule sans compter les multiples arbres fruitiers, Aziz nous a permis de ramasser les avocats nous nous sommes régalés la piscine est très grande et propre et le soir quel bonheur d’entendre l’océan. À proximité à pieds de l’océan et de la route qui mène à cap skiring tout est réuni pour passer un super séjour....

"We have a late arrival (3 AM). Check in process was efficient. The room was clean, the shower may require an upgrade, but a seaside view… priceless. Food was excellent and abundant with variety every night. The Senegalese night Buffett was delicious and the entertainment with local music, drums and dance was fabulous. We left behind a traveling board game (our fault) only to be handed back to us at check out. Massage was relaxing and well done. The prices on the store are same or better than at the local market outside the resort. The beach is spotless clean and resort staff is there all the time providing security and service. If you are curious about Senegal and want a small resort feel…. This is the resort for you! "

"The evening staff at reception and especially Mohamed made my stay perfect. They were so helpful in many ways such as finding me a taxi for a decent and honest fare. The day time staff at reception seemed less helpful. Not as welcoming and not recommending reasonable taxi fares. Mohamed was exceptional though. Super friendly and also the evening staff who helped me connect my laptop to the WiFi and made me complimentary drinks. "

"We had a very scary experience with the staff. Our room had no deadbolt then we had someone knock and try to get it. Then someone from the front desk call up and ask if I was alone and if the door was locked. Mind you I’m a younger female. I tried to talk to the staff about it via email but it’s been 10 days with no response. Super disappointed in their customer service and lack of safety. DO NOT stay here!"
