But the property was dirty! Lots of dust bunnies in the corners, cobwebs along the ceilings, vents in the bathroom were caked in dust & dirt. Bath towels had footprints (not ours!) on them. And the place smelled heavily of cleaner that had clearly not been used. The door lock was also questionable, needs to be replaced/fixed. ##### Robin I. Host was very friendly, communicative and responsive and it was easy to find and access the VRBO. The space was larger than anticipated with a separate kitchen (with all needed utensils) and a large closet as well as the living/bedroom area. Interesting old building with great architectural touches but the unit has areas that are warn and the carpet needs cleaning. The space was overall very clean but the floor needed additional care/vacuuming. Bed was comfortable, TV and internet worked fine. Overall, we had a nice stay. ##### Barbara P. Heating was not great, it didn't kick on till the middle of the night and was very loud with clanging. The bathroom floor linoleum was all warped and curled up. It was a safety hazard. The furniture was beat up a bit. I would not recommend for anyone who is older or unsteady on their feet as the tub also was old and slopped. If you have a car there is not a parking spot with the place and it is paid parking. Sunday is free to park and between 8pm-8am. So we had to usually pay a few hours in the morning and evening. One of the cabinets in the kitchen smells like rotten milk. The linoleum floor in the bathroom is peeling up and there is no way the floor is able to be cleaned effectively. There was a bug in the paper towel roll. I was afraid to walk barefoot, eat, or keep food in the property because of how unsanitary it felt. I was there 5 minutes and left. I should be receiving a full refund per the VRBO rep. The kitchen paint was peeling in BIG chunks from the wall. The bathroom tub surface and flooring was peeling and the water was brown. There was no mention about the light rail being literally right outside the window and it was VERY loud. There was a pickleball court across the street very noisy. The rug shown in the living room was missing and the floor was popping as we stepped in. ##### David S. Stayed 2 nights in Feb 2024 ### 4/10 Poor #### Mitchell Aug 23, 2025 Liked: Communication Disliked: Cleanliness, property conditions & facilities Pluses: -Owner/Manager was really good at replying back to messages leading up to our stay and while there. -Bed linens and towels were clean (or at least appeared clean given the overall state of cleanliness of the apartment). -Near bus stops and restaurants. Minuses: -Photos no longer really match what we encountered. -Building owner has rat traps out with active rat tunnels at outside main entry way staircase and one of the large planters near the front door. Though never saw any rats in the apartment. -Door handle latch was pushed into the door and inoperable with deadbolt body not really covering the hole in the door. Apartment building has key code access so limited to who can come in. -Regarding the bathroom; The ceiling had discoloration or mold on it. The vent had a heavy layer of built up dust on it. The floor vinyl is peeling up along all edges with a heavy layer of dirt/dust in the space. Bathtub is in need of some maintenance with the cold handle spraying water when turned on and the hot handle not being secured to the value body. -The living space needed cleaning with dust/dirt under the couch and along on the window/window frames, and blinds. The rug had previous guests hair all over it and hasn't appeared to be vacuumed in some time. We left without sleeping there and asked for a refund, the owner stopped answering as soon as I contacted regarding a refund.
