In a really central and fun area of Fremont. The spot was great for what it was—historic chic and relatively clean for a hostel. Only complaint was that the mobile radiator put out very little heat. What a cool “step back in time” place to stay. My room had a nostalgic water radiator for heat more comfortable heating than forced air. My king sized bed was comfortable & the room had a mini fridge, hot pot for boiled water and a desk with a chair. Bathrooms were very clean and lockable so you can shower or use the toilet with privacy. The Tia restaurant next door was incredible! The bathrooms were nice and clean. Our biggest issue with this property was the overwhelming smell of cleaning supplies. We opened the windows to aerate our room for several hours, but our clothes and even our personal water bottles reeked of the over saturation of cleaning agents. The only thing that needs attention is that I'm the room I had the bathroom sink was in the living room, which was fine, but the room was painted black and there was no outlet or light above the sink. However, the shared bathroom was just across the hall so I went there to do my hair and make up Also this room smelled like cigarette smoke, which I think they must have noticed bc the window was open, but it still reeked of smoke, there was no Lysol or anything to help displays the smell.
