This peaceful beach cottage is a great quiet retreat -- fully furnished, complete with a sauna, a private picnic area, and a koi pond!

5-minute walk to Richmond Beach, local distilleries, breweries as well as great restaurants and less than 2 minutes by car. This is your perfect home away from home!

The Space:
This cozy cottage is one of the last remaining original beach cottages at Richmond Beach. These cottages were built as weekend homes for the well-heeled of Seattle in the late 1800's. Folks would take the train up the coast from downtown Seattle in the days when there was still a train stop here, to get away from city life to the peaceful and beautiful views of Puget Sound which Richmond Beach is known and cherished for!

The cottage has been lovingly restored retaining its rich history, with the addition of comfortable modern amenities as well as a private deck for guests nested in mature bamboo landscaping with an outdoor dining table and mediation bench, there is additionally an old-fashioned front porch, complete with rocking chair, and overlooking a tranquil Koi Pond.

Moreover, Richmond Beach is an upscale and wonderfully quiet neighborhood, where long walks with water views are always a favorite -- you will surely have a fantastic time during your stay!

Guest Access:
* Guests will have access to the entire space.
* Guest parking is available.

Other Things to Note:
* There is no Washer/Dryer in this unit.
* Pets allowed with a refundable $200 deposit per pet.
* The bottom floor is a storage shed that the cleaner and owners use from time to time.

Everything about this little cottage is wonderful! It’s very cozy and homey, the kitchen is very spacious for such a small unit, and the bedroom has views of the water! There’s a lovely little secluded patio just outside the door that’s private for guests. I feel like the hosts thought of every little thing that might make our stay here comfortable and fun, and I highly recommend it!

We found the cottage a comfortable stay when visiting family in the Seattle. The location has a couple of views of Puget Sound and is just a short distance from Richmond Beach Saltwater Park. Our host, Jason, responded promptly to our questions. There is an excellent local casual dining restaurant, Blackbird, nearby and the cottage is not too far from the charming village of Edmonds which also offers excellent restaurants. We're happy to recommend the cottage.

Lovely quaint. Had everything i needed for few days. Sauna looked lovely but it was jot so i didnt get a chance to check it out. Wifi was hood and they had a fan and on hot day that really helped circulate the ac. Met the owner and he made a lovely sushi suggestion. Thank you!

Cozy Cabin

We loved our stay at Jason's cabin. He was very attentive, friendly, and provided everything we needed in the cabin. The cabin itself felt very private and cozy. There was a heater and A/C unit provided in case it felt stuffy. The location was near the water and the view was so pretty. On the clear sunny days you can see Mt Olympus from across the water.

Wow.

This cottage oozes charm and history. Every detail has been meticulously considered and the decorating is perfect, from historic photos of Richmond Beach families to original wood floors and cozy furniture. The bed is comfortable, the views are gorgeous (including the view overlooking the hosts’ lovely garden) and the location is wonderful. It’s a pleasant walk to the large waterfront park, restaurants and the towering trees of the library park. Oh yeah: the sauna is special.(One tip: there is no designated parking area, so park on the street right next to the private side gate that leads to the cottage.)

I would definitely stay in this charming cottage again. The neighborhood is residential and quiet. The view of the water adds to the peacefulness experienced in the cottage. It may have been a little difficult to find in the dark, but fortunately we easily found it in the day light.

Cottage Beach vacation

Overall, everything was very nice. One thing that would make it better would be to cut the bamboo on the little sitting area in the back to allow a view of the Sound. There is a ladder leaning on the back of the cottage wall and a chair on the roof. Remove tbese. this. )
