Fantastic service

On the Hotel.com website we had booked a two room condo with an ocean view. When we arrived we found that we had a lovely two bedroom standalone house but no ocean view. This was a major disappointment because that is why we booked in the first place. We had a great discussion with the local Seaside Homes manager and we discovered that there was a mistake on the Hotels.com site. The manager was fantastic however and put us in the Condo that we thought that we had booked originally, which was essentially an upgrade. As we doubled checked our booking prior to confirming it and went back to the Hotels.com site to prove that it stated an ocean view, I think that Hotel.com should review their site. They should also compensate Vacation Homes.

Worse experience ever!

Property condition was horrible. On raising the concerns, they asked me to move to another property but no was there to attend us. On phone, they said property is not ready for check in now, please wait till 5:00pm. They spoiled my long weekend. I have canceled my reservation with them. Fake room and location pictures.

Beautiful beach home close to beach

We loved the seaside beach home we stayed in. It was so close to the beach, and walking distance to everything. Very cozy and comfortable. We will stay again!

Terrific!

Fabulous accommodation in unbeatable location. Clean, well maintained holiday home without the musty, seaside home smell! Modern and tasteful decor and comfortable beds. Could not be more positive about these cottages by the sea. Whether a large reunion or small family break we know we will book again. We took our 7 week old and due to the 'home to home' feeling - eg., a full set of kitchen utensils- it was a smooth transition making cooking at home a breeze. Highly recommend.

Good Value, Terrible Customer Service

I feel a one star rating is too generous for this company. For several years my husband and I have rented a house from this company each spring for the Astoria wine & seafood festival. Last year we had a family emergency and had to cancel our trip. This company stated that their constellation policy was that unless the room rented we would have to forfeit the $500 we had already paid or roll it over into a new reservation. They claimed the room didn't book and we have tried 4 times now to use our credit and each time we get a call just days before our departure date saying they're cancelling our reservation. Last time we called, the representative admitted that the they sold out the weekend we were supposed to attend. When I pointed out that in this case they owe me a refund, they back peddled. These vacation homes are affordable, but the customer service is absolutely abhorrent!

Seaside Vacation Homes

The house was very nice, well-maintained, and clean. It was convenient to all our activities. There is a lot to do around Seaside, but the weather kept us from doing too much until our last day. The only unpleasant part was not knowing where we would be staying and delaying the start of our trip waiting for a return call. We have rented many vacation homes and ALWAYS were notified at least a week in advance the location of the rental.
