Listing was very accurate and the area was as quiet as can be. I would warn anyone coming during deer season to take it extremely slow down the country roads. In one trip to the property we had 8 different "woah there" moments with deer. Also had one waiting at the front door for us to get home that night which was awesome! The check-in is easy because of the code to the door which is provided early. The living room is huge with comfortable sofa and chairs. The cellular range is poor in that area, but the wifi is excellent! There is a full kitchen with stove, oven and large microwave. Outside there even is a coal grill! Both bedrooms are large and homey. We felt right at home in this cottage!The location is excellent: 1 hr drive to both Bardstown and Lexington. ##### Willem V. As a bourbon drinker, this has always been on my bucket list. We enjoyed our stay at the cabin and the drive to the distilleries was amazing. It has everything you need to be warm and comfortable. It was out in the country on 22 acres of beautiful land. It very nicely appointed, and we loved sitting out on the front porch at night. It was so incredibly quiet. Although the many miles of winding roads were a bit of a challenge at times, the drive was beautiful. Because it was so incredibly dark at night, we got the extraordinary opportunity to see the Northern Lights on the extremely rare occasion that they are visible that far south. New appliances with old country feel. The road to the house was interesting and very scenic. We were glad we found the house during the daylight hours! The area immediately around the house was well-groomed, but the area across the road---well... The house was well-stocked with paper products, towels and soap. The kitchen had ample cookware, but we suggest to future guests to bring their own frying pans if they want to cook anything. Our group of four enjoyed having space to play cards and sit in the comfy living room. The wild turkey coming by was an added treat!
