This apartment was lovely. Very spacious and has everything you need. Good location not too far from the main town and shops etc. close to the seafront and tramway. Staff were very friendly.

We recently stayed at the Red Lea Hotel Apartments in Scarborough and had a really lovely stay. The apartment was very comfortable, clean, and well‑presented, with everything we needed for a relaxing break. The highlight was definitely the beautiful sea view — it made the stay feel extra special. The location is excellent and ideal for enjoying the South Cliff area. We would definitely stay here again.

Another excellent stay, at red lea apartments. Well equipped, spotlessly clean. I find the location perfect for me. Street parking available just outside the apartment. Definitely will be returning.

Great family partment

Perfect apartment for a family vacation with the dog. Great location, close to the dog friendly beach. Clean and comfortable. Lift access. Staff were lovely.

Good location for the south bay & spa area. Added bonus of the pool & spa area in the hotel. Bedrooms could benefit from curtains or black out blinds and the fire doors bang in other apartments which is quite noisey, but we have been twice & wouldnt hesitate to go back!

Usual property

Strange hotel. Bar and restaurant were closed permanently except for breakfast. Seemed to be full of mining contractors. Apartment was good but quite noisey with other tennants.. Location was pleasant with good sea views.

Lovely hotel and location

After a long day of travelling from Scotland and several train delays, the extra touches like juice and cupcakes for the kids and milk for our tea went down a treat, especially with the kids. Apartment was lovely, clean and comfortable, we booked a 2 night break, we even managed to go for a swim and sauna. Appreciated the cosy pillows on bed and cushions on the sofa, made it very easy to relax at the end of the day.

My husband & I stayed 4 days.The apartment was spotless.Beds very comfortable.Small park opposite so not overlooked.Kitchen well equipped although a few dishwasher tablets would’ve been welcome.Nice to have some tea bags/coffee/ sugar & milk very welcome on arrival.The lift goes straight into the apartment.For us an elderly couple it was appreciated although bear in mind there are a number of steps up to the front door,there is a hand rail.The Cliff Railway is at the bottom of the road.Easy access to the promenade.We throughly enjoyed our stay.

Location is superb, cliff lift across the road drops you onto the spa, spectacular views. Apartment was well equipped, hotel facilities were really good including the pool/spa etc. Staff were all lovely and helpful. Only knocks i can give are that the apartment wifi was really weak as was the tv signal meaning we couldnt watch anything in the evenings, apart from that fully recommend the apartments and hotel

Very comfortable apartment. The 2nd bedroom was a bit cold. It would have helped if there were curtains & also a blind in the bathroom. A portable radiator gad been added so they were aware of the problem.

5 star stay

Beautiful stay at these gorgeous sea view apartments. The hotel reception staff were so friendly and helpful and we had a lovely surprise of some delicious complimentary cupcakes when we entered the apartment. The apartment itself had everything we needed for our stay and for my elderly father-in-law who now struggles with stairs, the added bonus of a lift that takes you straight into the apartment. It’s also in a fabulous location overlooking South Bay with direct access to the Spa via the cliff lift handily located at the end of the road. We had a wonderful stay here and would definitely stay again

Nice and easy check in ...the lady on reception was very helpful and friendly...the room was a large apartment and very clean and a high standard enough tea and coffee for your stay ... fresh cakes on arrival and a small bottle of milk ....swimming pool was nice...small but very child friendly.... They were upgrading the bar so couldn't use that which aasnt a problem We would definitely use again

Overall the apartment was lovely, the leisure facilities we're good as we had them to ourselves, but if I was to be picky the TV signal needs to be sorted out as only had about 6 channels to watch which was BBC1, BBC2, parliament and CBeebies and local Radio - not a great choice but made do. Parking was easy as on-street parking available at a cost of £2 50 for 2 days. Would certainly return in the future 😊

Wow! This apartment far exceeded our expectations. Spacious 2-bedroom, 2 bathroom on the top floor with a gorgeous sea view. Elevator opens into the apartment which takes a little getting used to! Well-equipped kitchen, huge dining room and living room with stairs leading down to the second bedroom. Main bedroom on the main level is lovely and very comfortable. Lots of storage allows you to unpack. The living room furniture could be replaced; the cushions are shot and furniture smells musty. Appreciated the dishwasher. Note: there are no in-suite laundry facilities. Walkable to the beach and attractions, and into town. Street parking is available for a small fee. Friendly staff. A few additions would be a nice touch: at least 2 extra fans in the summer, paper towels & facial tissue provided, a toilet roll stand for the main bathroom, and a mirror in the second bathroom. Advance notice of window washing would be appreciated!

We had no internet for the entire stay and no housekeeping. We were without water on Saturday morning. We raised all of this with staff, and nothing was done. On Sunday afternoon, my girlfriend managed to see the manager. He advised that our penthouse apartment was not run by them, but by the parent company, and their only involvement was handing over the key. He advised we should not even have been allowed in for breakfast on the Saturday morning (which we paid for, and incidentally was very poor). So we had no access to the 'spa' facility either. He also advised they do not provide housekeeping, even though on the Saturday I requested it and was assured it would be done on Sunday (it was not). He also advised that the internet in the other apartments was fine (implying it was somehow user error), yet no one once attended the apartment to try and fix it (Their IT company doesn't work weekends). We also discovered a pair of ladies' lingerie behind the dressing table in our bedroom, very unhygienic. The 'facilities' listed on our booking were therefore not provided. My advice - find somewhere else to stay in Scarborough.

The apartment is in a good location close to the South Shore and a 15min walk from the train station / town centre. The apartment was clean, spacious and equipped with everything we needed. If you are a light sleeper take earplugs due to the noise from the seagulls. The swimming pool and gym facilities were not available and I only received an email to officially communicate this one day after arriving.

Room was ideal for a family of 3. However the living area was dirty in places and looked like the table had not been cleaned or the living area hoovered for our arrival. Utensils still had food on in the drawers. No hot water on first morning but quickly rectified. Staff at partner hotel helpful however the pool that is available to use was dirty and in need of repair in many areas. Sauna out of use, jacuzzi out of use. Spiders in the changing area showers showing they had not been cleaned in a while. Apartment and hotel could be spot on but need to try harder especially for price paid.

We stayed in the ground floor apartment and it was very well equipped warm and clean considering it was a pet friendly apartment Good points hot tub and pool and cleanliness of apartment . Staff were friendly and polite on check in showing us to the apartment and info regarding parking. Bad points Only issue we found was the apartment isnt very accessible for disabled guests with mobility problems My daughter was on crutches and there are steps to the apartments and the hotel and we couldn't see a ramp or other entrance. She did manage fine though with help and it didnt really affect our stay. Would definitely stay here again
