It connects mainland Sark to a smaller peninsula known simply as 'Little Sark'. With 100m drops to the sea on each side the road is very much exposed to the elements. In this car free island, cyclists are required to dismount for the crossing. During the German occupation during WWII, prisoners of war paved the road and built barriers. Prior to this, the road was unguarded on either side. The room was immaculately clean and had everything needed provided with plenty of amenities like still water with tea and coffee facilities, dressing gowns and toiletry’s had a very comfortable stay. Some of the highlights an indoor pool and a tree top spa, restaurants and the gardens are beautiful. Most definitely would highly recommend and would stay again.
