The little electric torches around the patio were a nice touch. It is a perfect location. One block away from Lido Beach and about a 10-minute walk to St. Armand circle. The inside is small but very functional and suited us just fine. But the large, private fenced yard extends the space and is great for lounging and eating in the beautiful weather we had. The cottage is very nicely decorated with most everything you’d need to make use of the full kitchen and so many thoughtful touches inside and out, including good beach chairs and umbrella and bicycles. The location is great, a block in from the beach and pavilion area but it is always very quiet and peaceful. The owners are charming and while they live on the property the layout is such that it’s totally private and you’d never know they’re there unless you have a question or need something. We were close to the beach and could walk to restaurants and coffee shops. We didn't expect any frills with the rental, but unfortunately we didn't sleep well either. The window air unit, while effective at cooling the room. It was really loud when it kicked on and off. The fan was noisy as well, so were not sleeping well. Otherwise, the rental was what we needed for our three night stay. Note that the shower and bathroom are tiny. Manageable but tight quarters. ##### Katie L. It truly is a very short 2 block walk to the beach and a nice walk to all the shops and dining in St. Armand. The bikes provided were in good condition and we enjoyed biking the island. Camille provided everything we needed including a beach cart, chairs, beach towels and a cooler. One of the things we enjoyed most was the private backyard with fire pit, umbrella table and chairs. The kitchen has everything you need including a full size refrigerator. Some of the things we enjoyed most were watching dolphins at sunset, long walks on the beach, kayaking the mangrove tunnels, Happy Hour at the nearby Lido Beach Resort, and dining at Columbia.
