The grounds here are impeccable – from the well-manicured vegetation to the vast palm trees that dot this serene Longboat Key location. The buildings at Beach Castle are the color of sunshine and are accented by Bahama shutters and railings that resemble palm trees. Each unit is individually owned, which means no unit is alike and provides a unique vacation experience to our guests. However, all units provide a full kitchen, living room and private lanais – never compromising the comforts of home. This secluded hideaway exudes a classic charm that, as vacationers, we yearn for. A place to get away from it all, relish in the Florida sunshine and reconnect with family and friends; all this while enjoying white-sand beaches, privacy and most importantly, vacation memories that last a lifetime. Limited Membership Privileges: Guests of Beach Castle Resort #22 will have the option of temporary membership privileges at Cedars Tennis Resort located at 645 Cedars Court on Longboat Key. The limited temporary membership allows the guest access to fully-lit Har-Tru tennis and pickleball courts (after 1 p.m. daily and subject to availability), community bicycles, fishing pier and Jr. Olympic heated swimming pool. The guest will also have access to the community fitness center. Accommodations: Beach Castle Resort is a quiet, 21-unit condominium resort midway on the exclusive island of Longboat Key with a variety of views including Gulf front, Bay front, pool and garden views. Unit #22 Features: Two-bedroom, two-bathroom unit with partial bay views and cathedral, tray ceilings. Decorated in modern, beach-style décor some additional upgrades you'll enjoy at Unit #22 include large, flat screen TV's and ceiling fans in the living room and bedrooms, custom tile flooring throughout. The kitchen of Unit #22 has been renovated to include new cabinetry, stainless steel appliances and granite countertops. This particular unit needs a few updates particularly to the beds. The mattresses feel like they’re from the 1980s and the pillows were so large and hard that I filled the pillowcase with my socks and underwear and used that instead so I could sleep. If you get up in the middle of the night to use the restroom, the mattress creeks in a way I haven’t heard since my childhood. M with the exception of the beds, it’s a lovely place and I would highly recommend it. Maybe bring your own pillow if you come. ##### Paul M. Loved the screened in porch that is nestled up against palm trees and other tropical vegetation that rustle in the gulf breeze. It was so tranquil and relaxing. The beautiful gulf beach is a short walk. The pool was heated, nice. The manager was very pleasant. We checked in and checked out after hours, and all went smoothly. We ate out for every meal, so I can’t comment about how well the kitchen was stocked. I wouldn’t call this a luxurious or bougie place, but that’s what we loved about it. It has a very laid-back, Florida key vibe. The pictures posted are accurate.We were very comfortable here, and would stay again! ##### Karen S. I would prefer a better lightbulb in the main room lamp as I had trouble reading at night. We enjoyed the warm pool and hot tub. Beach access across the street was very easy. Beach is a short walk, has plenty of chairs/umbrellas and well maintained. Good location on the island halfway between two popular night spots, St. Armands and Bridge Street. ##### David S. Pro: Walk across the street to the beach. Great hot tub. Relaxing atmosphere. Con: Wish issue with the DVD player had been resolved. Never did get a working player in the unit. Our unit #22 has loud air conditioner. Woke up 3 out of 4 guests staying in the unit. Maybe not a problem if you are a heavy sleeper. Suggestions: Add lawn chairs on grassy area on the Sarasota Bay side of the property. It has a beautiful view and not utilized . Would recommend placemats in out unit ##### janet b.
