The property is a bit outdated but the staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. The restaurant serves good food and the shuttle whose driver greets you inside and it’s there at your arrival 24 hrs is exceptional, especially when you arrive late or very early after long flights , they will also take you at any hour of day or night according to your needs.

Located near the airport, however, there is a decent detour to be made when coming from the airport. Nice, large hotel with large rooms, nice bathroom and nice hot shower. There is a large swimming pool and restaurant, the latter is helpful as there are not many options in walking distance. Fast internet.

I appreciate the reliability of the Sun Hotel’s shuttle service whisking you from the airport to a comfortable room after a long day’s travel. The breakfast the next morning, some time in the fitness room and a swim in the pool was everything I needed to be ready to continue my trip.

The transfer from the airport is a bit tricky, look for a guy with a black polo and an orange logo… once in the hotel if you arrive late the kitchen might not be working and there are few options to have late dinner. The room was very spacious and clean, I had a great night sleep but it took around 40 minutes for the AC to cool the whole space as the room is extremely big and they don’t run the A/C 24/7… Breakfast was basic and the hot options were cold, but as I was hungry I was able to have some breakfast. Transfer back to the airport is every hour but they run an exception for me and took me at 11:30am. Overall really nice to have a one night stay to transfer from local to international flights in Santa Cruz if you need a lay over

No vip treatment! nothing special, booked a king room got a double, wc was running water all the time and the sink didn’t drain properly. Breakfast was lame. Staff was good and the bed was comfy, but that’s it.
