Situated at ground floor level, the sandy shores of Sandown Bay are directly opposite. The accommodation comprises of a large open plan living/kitchen/dining area, which offers lovely views out to sea and a large smart TV, inc Netflix, Amazon & internet. There are three sofas, one that can be used as a sofa bed for one person. The kitchen area is a modern contemporary style, with breakfast bar seating for up to 3 and includes a Nespresso machine (pods not supplied), an integral fridge/freezer, washer/dryer, dishwasher, electric oven and gas hob. The dining area seats up to 6 guests and also benefits from sea views. The master bedroom can be made up as a super-king or a twin room; please advise your preference on booking. There is a dressing table, that can also be used as a work desk for those looking to work whilst away. This room has a stylish en-suite. The second bedroom is a twin room. The family bathroom has a bath with shower over. THE ISLAND HOLIDAY COMPANY ARE ABLE TO OFFER DISCOUNTED FERRY TRAVEL TO THE ISLE OF WIGHT WHEN YOU BOOK YOUR HOLIDAY THROUGH US. LOCATION: Glorious Sandown Bay is on your doorstep, and voted one of the Island’s best beaches, providing a long stretch of sand and great swimming waters. Along this stretch you can see the red sandstone through to the white chalk of Culver cliff, and it is around here that fossil remains can be found. Sandham Garden’s play area is just across the road from the apartment with go karting sky nets and crazy golf and children’s play area. A short flat walk further along towards Yaverland, and you will also find the Wild Heart Animal Sanctuary formerly the isle of Wight Zoo, famous for its big cats. The town of Sandown is brimming with attractions to entertain visitors, most of them right on the beach front itself, so you never have to stray too far from the golden sands. Should you enjoy a coastal walk, you can walk the length of Sandown Bay from Yaverland past the Pier along the seaside revetment all the way to the popular neighbouring town of Shanklin. If you are keen on an active holiday, the bay is hugely popular with water-sports, and you’ll certainly see people paddle boarding, surfing, catamaran and dingy sailing, windsurfing and kite surfing, depending on the weather. This property offers a single sofa bed, If you would like us to supply linen for its use during your stay, this can be provided at an additional cost of £35, per stay. There is no electric car charger on site and guests are prohibited from using the mains electric in the property to charge a car. The apartment was exactly as advertised. Modern and spacious and a few steps away from the beach and family activities. Restaurants were nearby and so were the local shops including Salisbury and co-op. We all enjoyed our stay and we hope to go back soon. Wake up to the sounds of the waves, had breakfast on the outside table in front of the house looking at the beach and then I crossed the main street and went for a swim on the gorgeous beach of Sandown, which by the way, is dog friendly. The location is great because you open your front door and you're looking straight out to the sea and just have to cross the road to be walking along the sea front It was lovely and clean when we arrived and had everything that we needed. We have two small children too and the apartment is a short 5 min walk from a brilliant play ground which we used during our stay too. We are already looking forward to coming to stay again! Nov 8, 2023 #### A lovely seafront apartment This is the second time we have stayed at this apartment with our two children. We love that it is right on the sea front. We weren't as fortunate with the weather this October but the apartment felt spacious and comfortable enough to stay in on the wet days and watch the waves on the beach from the windows. The service was great too as we emailed on the day of arrival asking if it would be available to check in earlier and got a quick reply which said we could and that worked well for our family. For the price we paid we were expecting minimum of a shower gel. Beds creaky and uncomfortable couldn’t sleep at all. Just across the road from an ideal soft sand beach, a two minute walk from one of the best resturants in town (Band Stand), five minute walk from holiday entertainment (mini golf plus more), 10 minute walk in to town and easy road access to get to the rest of the island. Lovely welcome gift on arrival. The rooms were clean and spacious. A little expensive out of season when many businesses shut. Kitchen was well equipped. Building work to the rear at present but didn't impact on our stay too much. Smart TV also didn't connect to WiFi.
