Skylight azure blue ceramic tiles decorate the arch vault of the entrance half dome in perfect stalactites form (called muqarnas in islamic architecture). The mosque is located opposite the Peter and Paul Fortress in the city center. It can accomodate 8.000 worshippers and is one of the northernmost mosques in the world.
