Located on the east coast, a short distance from the northernmost tip of the island, we find the small tourist hamlet of Cavo equipped with all the services necessary for your seaside holidays.
The Vespucci and Tonietti seafront is the real strong point of the entire seaside resort, where you can choose between different establishments to spend a day on the beach, until you reach the remains of the Roman villa of Capo Castello. The villa is located in a panoramic position and divides the Frugoso beach from Cala delle Alghe.
For those who want to visit the Tonietti Mausoleum, you will have to follow the GTE path and venture into the Mediterranean scrub. The route is very easy and is suitable for everyone. Once you reach your destination you can admire the only testimony in Art Nouveau style on the entire island.
Calaseregola Beach and Topinetti Beach are about 3/4 km away. The town of Rio Marina can be reached in about 10 minutes by car.
