"This is a very nice cabin,it was very clean and well stocked.The check in process was easy and location was perfect. It is very quiet and peaceful,but be aware not to leave trash or food out because bears are out"

"We had a nice time. The area is quiet with a lot of friendly people. Not so many day attractions unless your family likes doing things outdoors. Chimney Rock park is extremely beautiful and the accommodations were great. They weren’t cheap with cleaning supplies etc. Yonder (the property management company) was really responsive and helpful. The outdoor trash receptacle was not bear proof, but I am sure the company or host will deal with the issue by the time you read this review. I would definitely recommend this property. There were also plenty of board/card games for the family, and it felt like the owner/Yonder had a lot of foresight in setting up the house so it would have everything you need."

"We loved the location of this property, private feeling and with trees all around. The smells and sounds of summer and nature were very relaxing. We loved the outdoor space and the windows which afforded a lovely view no matter where you looked. It was a like a tree house get away. There are stairs to get to the front door and stairs to get down to the 2nd bathroom and beds on the “basement” level. The downstairs can only be accessed from the outside and is completely separate from the main space. It was so conveniently located to the lake for boat rentals and a market just down the road. 5 minute drive to Chimney Rock’s little Main Street. An hour to Asheville for a day trip. We would stay here again but there were a lot of spiders and webs (you are in nature, in a forested location) so you must sweep them away every time you go out on the deck especially if you have little ones or pets visiting. While we were there the hot tub was broken and the upstairs shower was not working but our host was so kind to refund us for the inconvenience and was very easy to communicate with. It’s a quaint, quirky older property but it has a very relaxing and comfortable air about it. The beds were comfortable and it was a safe, quiet place to stay."

"We had an amazing stay at The Enchanted Cottage in Lake Lure! The host was extremely communicative and made everything easy from start to finish. The cottage was comfortable for four adults and had all the amenities we could have wanted. The funicular was such a great feature and made unpacking and moving luggage and groceries to the cottage so much easier! We especially enjoyed the foosball table - a family favorite! We also loved the convenient location, just a short drive from the grocery store, restaurants, Lake Lure Beach, and the Chimney Rock area. Everything we wanted to see and do was just a short drive or pontoon ride away.We had such a great time and would absolutely recommend The Enchanted Cottage to anyone visiting Lake Lure. We look forward to staying here again!"
