A beautiful grand hotel. Old school in style and design yet clean and well maintained. Bathrooms even come with a shaving kit and toothpaste but no coffee in the room which was a small drawback for us.
Situated on Madrid’s Gran Via, you have the best and worst of the location… it’s walking distance to everying including the palace, Plaza Mayor and the Prado. However, it’s also incredibly busy; sidewalks and streets are packed from dawn well into the evening and we heard the sounds of police/ambulance sirens almost every night.
The cherry on top (literally on top) is the rooftop bar which made for a perfect spot for a drink after a day touring the sights.

The place was spacious, tastefully decorated and well appointed. The location was unbelievable, walkable to lots of good restaurants, cafes and local attractions. Will definitely stay there again if we’re back in Madrid. Highly recommend it!!!

"The room is comfortable but avoid room 104 it’s on the first floor with blocked view of the valley because of the wall and a very funky bathroom. Shower room was partially blocked by the beam so you can’t really move around (and I am only 5’3”) and probably because the bathroom is underground so ..."
