"The cabin was in excellent condition and had everything we needed. The location on the lake was perfect in terms of having a serene, forest retreat feeling. The kids adults enjoyed swimming in our little cove, the water was awesome. We would very likely return to this property! A few things to understand before planning your family vacation here: 1. the location is on a very narrow, slow-going twisty road and there are not really restaurants around even after you get to the main road. Grocery markets are not a quick/easy run, so plan ahead for buying and cooking. 2. Lots of stairs are expected, but some here are harder than regular. The stairs to lower level are steeper than typical house stairs, the front porch steps are skinny, and the last section of the path to the dock is a dirt path with several roots and loose soil. It’s all beautiful and manageable but quite difficult/risky for some people. People who normally handle regular stairs fine struggled with spots here. 3. Bring a fan, it’ll make using the outside deck more of an option, and help move air around inside too. Use of the oven or clothes dryer heated up the inside quickly and one ceiling fan didn’t work. Again - we loved this place and will consider returning. Just a few things we wish we had expected to make it more comfortable and easy. "

"Setting and layout of the home is terrific. Proximity to marina is good. Property manager was very responsive to our needs. Only downside was cleanliness of rugs. Everything else was great."

"This rental exceeded expectations! The location was perfect, we felt like we had our own private cove to float and kayak. The house and grounds were very clean. Highly recomend bringing a sxs to get down to the boat dock. We rented the pontoon on a day with poor weather. The host was very gracious and let us modify the reservation. We will definitely be back!"

"My family and I rented this property for a short getaway. In addition to my parents and 15 year old brother, my husband and I also had our 3 kids (3,1 and 2 months). The house was clean and smelt great when we walked in. There were ample kitchen tools which made cooking a breeze. The property felt modern and updated. We enjoyed utilizing the outdoor space and felt it was safe enough to use with our young kids. While the stairs look a little intimidating, they really weren’t that bad. We would have liked to have used the kayak and paddle board, but those were not at the property when we arrived. The kids really loved using the popcorn machine and it made for a fun movie night. We would return."

"Our family (11 adults, 1 baby, and a dog) were in the area for our niece's med school graduation from nearby LMU. While this location was a little farther out, it had anything and everything we needed for a most comfortable stay. Sharon Lowdon was most accommodating and responded very quickly. The ONLY thing that was a little weird, was having to go through the bathroom connected to the kitchen to get to the bunk room. A couple of times, people were locked out/locked in the room because someone was using the bathroom, but we were able to overcome the problem by announcing that bathroom would be in use for showering, etc. The TVs in the bunk room are all the same brand, so one remote was turning all the TVs on and off at the same time, so that was a little funny too. We just ended up using 1 TV at a time for sleeping white noise. While I thought those things were worth mentioning, it didn't detract at all from the overall rental. We have rented many vacation homes in the past, and this was one of the most well stocked places we have stayed. We highly recommend this house, and would definitely love to return if we find ourselves in the area again."
