Although there are no staff on site, check in was smooth, and we felt secure with the locked doors we had to go through to keep residents safe. "The apartment was in a very central location, only a few moments away from the main shopping mall in Funchal, and coffee shop almost on the doorstep. There was a kitchenette, washing machine and ironing board provided, and all useful utensils provided (even sachets of oil for using the frying pan).
Check in was simple with the use of door codes. We had quick responses via WhatsApp from the company and all our questions were answered.
